it only goes 120, after that i don't think it's accelerating any more. is that normal and what can i do to make it faster (for very little or for free)

i am not sure, what year is your car littlemore
info, 95 + gst fwd, have governs restricts
speed over 132 i bleive, because of the tires we
run. I am not sure about the awd, i donthtink
they have a limiter. 1 G i have no clue, you can
get the limiter to be taken of at the ecu on the
board. The vfaq has it for the 2Gfwd. But i know
1G speed exceed well over 120!! Maybe your engine
is not cutting it over 120, maybe that is its max.
Some just dont run as fast as others, simple as that.

my tire pressure was too low in the front, that might slow it a bit. the car was dirty too, more wind resistance? do people get top speed in 4th or 5th gear? i was in 5th from about 80-90

as far as top speed you should be a 5th.
Although 4th you can get up there, but ut can only
go up so far until you have to shift to get to
that top speed. Not that after shifting into
fifth you are going to go a whole lot faster, well
depends on your car.
