My friend has a 2g 4g63 engine with awd manual transmission in his fwd car, we just put the engine and trans in the car, it drives but 1st gear slips, that because of the viscous coupler.
Now we've ordered the VCE.
Today we open the side of the gearbox, we took the visous coupler out, now in the shaft that the viscous coupler sits on is another shaft in it,that moved and slides in the big shaft with theeth,i wanto to know what that shaft is.Also want to know if the VCE will be good for daily driving or is better that we weld the viscous? Also want to know if the car stops slipping in 1st gear with the VCE.NEED HELP ASAP GUYS

This is looking into your center differential.

The VCE will lock those shafts, no welding required. You bought it so you can do away with the viscous coupler.

Yes, the slipping will go away.
Broken, the small shaft on the pic, i don't know what me and my friend did, but that shaft has slide more into the big teeth shaft, and one of the 2 small metal ball (don't know how you call it in english) fall off the shaft, is that gonna be a problem?

now one question i have is, how does th vce works?
My friend has a awd manual trans in his car, but didn't put a vce or weld the differencial, and after a week it was ready to go in the trash.
I was told putting the VCE it prevent that the trans will not be destroyed and i can drive my awd trans in my fwd car for ever,Is that right?
