AWD transmissions are more robust than the FWD.

Broken, the small shaft on the pic, i don't know what me and my friend did, but that shaft has slide more into the big teeth shaft, and one of the 2 small metal ball (don't know how you call it in english) fall off the shaft, is that gonna be a problem?

 

do we have to find a way to get that shaft back out?

 

Ok i've installed the VCE,it was a little hard to install, i used a rubber hammer to tik it, so it slides in.
Is that a problem?or it should be hard to slide in?

 

Shouldn't be a problem, mine was a little hard to tap on too. That metal ball needs to be in place and not floating around in the tranny though.

 

now one question i have is, how does th vce works?
My friend has a awd manual trans in his car, but didn't put a vce or weld the differencial,and after a week it was ready to go in the trash.
I was told putting the VCE it prevent that the trans will not be destroyed and i can drive my awd trans in my fwd car for ever,Is that right?

 

A VCE locks the center diff and replaces the viscous coupler. Its basically the same as welding the center diff. You will be fine with using a VCE.
