ummm I do not know the answer, but nor could anyone else begin to try to answer this one. One key question comes to mind, What does it sound like? Coming from where? Details, details, details....

Sorry I was not specific. It is coming from the pedal area. When you let off the gas it waits a second and then kinda clicks. Like something is falling back into place.

 

Could it possibly be the transmision? I know someone has to have had this problem before.

 

OK.....nevermind. I drove out of town to Mitsubishi and found out it is probably a motor mount.

Wait, actually now that I think about it, it's a clicking sound that only happens at 20mph or so? Are you sure? I have a slight click that happens sometimes when I press in on the clutch and let off but it doesn't matter if it's at Omph or 20mph I look up and it seems almost like its something on the joint of the clutch pedal. This is of course probably not the answer I am just seeing if this is what you are experiencing

 

That does sound more like my problem, but it is only when I am going and it sound like it is behind the firewall.
