I have a 95 tsi awd with a dejon intake, Br upic w/1g bov, safc2, 2.5 turbo back, running around 14psi. I have had a studdering problem and backfire sound through the exhaust for a while now, and ive been chasing it ever since it started. new plugs ngk bpr7es and msd 8.5 wires, new fuel filter.... still studders, sometimes its worse than others, sometimes is completly gone. i though that it was wiring going to ecu, but it seems that its just a coincidece. problem happened before safc install and still occurs, the only thing that dosent make since is that if it were wiring, i would be throwing a code if a sensor was bad or i had a short going to the ecu, plus, it would either be making the connection or not, u cant really half ass it. If it were mechanical, such as a burnt valve, its would be all the time, unless it was a sticking valve, which may have been caused by my stupidness of putting straight 50wt oil in for about 2000 miles until i realized that was dumb and switched back to 5w30. i would figure that it would not be sticking anymore if with the lighter oil lubing it. Buschur told me fuel, but im on stock turbo... fuel cut is unlikely, but i did hear my pump making clicking noises when i was sitting still at a stop. If my pump is going bad, or is bad, would this be causeing the stutter, and or would it be all the time or intermintent like it is for me.... Im so tired of this and it needs to be ready for the dsm shootout on the 15th. Im planning on putting in a 190 pump and haveing the fuel system cleaned at a shop. with the 190, everything be ok, or am i going to need a afpr? Thanks for the help, my problem is almost solved.
