This link was brought to you by fellow member vegabass15. It's a online manual for Hyundai's. Here's the catch: the 1gen Elantras share the same engine as the 2.0 NT 1G, the only difference is that theirs is a 1.8 block. It might be helpful to you guys as a reference guide when doing some engine work since the engines are "almost" identical. Just choose 95 or ealier Elantra and give it a shot. You might learn a thing or two from it. BTW, it's free!!!:D

Disclaimer: Some things are not the same!! Things like ECU, electrical wiring, mounts and so on may vary. So keep that in mind when browsing thru the info. Please don't e-mail the moderating team about differences that might appear on the manual. We will keep this thread open so that you guys may comment on the usefulness of the manual. Once again look at it as a guide...

Thanks vegabass15...;)

My 92 Sonata's stock harness was used in the original swap, the turbo TSI ecu pluged right in the stock Sonata harness i just had to run a wire for the knock sensor :)
The turbo ecu will and should plug into NA DSM's as well.
Im running a haltech now so im not using the stock harness but at first thats what i did.

But hey, thanks for the feedback!!! It would be excellent if you could mention what other things are/aren't different between models.:)

the tps on the 91-94 turbo and n/t 2.0L dsms are the same as the ones on 91-95(?) elantra dohc cars. I know it will work, too, cause i have one on my car and it works great.
just a tip for anyone looking for a cheap tps replacement when it dies.

Don't want to go off topic, but a turbo Sonata? Holy sleeper Batman! I'll never mess with another hundai.

Ok, lol
I've been trying to research this, but I'm no mecahnic (the first job I've ever done alone to my car was change my radiator, then I changed my alternator... That's IT! :p ) but I noticed that these Elantra's (and older Galants I think) have the 4g67 which is a 1.8L DOHC..

I, right now, have a 1.8L SOHC 1st gen Eclipse and my block is going bad :(
But I was wondering (I don't want to buy another car) if I could easily swap a that 4g67 into my Eclipse...

Anyone would know about this?

Any new manuals? My other car (88 accord) actually had a huge shop manual some one had scanned and put into a PDF I printed the thing off and used it to help with my engine rebuild it worked wonders. since im considoring a rebuild on my talon a manual like this would be great.

P.S. I have a 95 Talon if anyone could point me in the right direction it would help me greatly I did many searches for one including google. And the 2gnt site never sent me the email confirmation or whatever so I cant log in....
