I'm sitting here pondering my VRSF install looking at my front end and something is up. Looks like some BS custom cutting and rewelding is going to cause issues installing my VRSF. Heres some pictures of my front end, I am looking for a picture of a "STOCK" car to compare it to.

VRSF install guide says we use the factory fog light holes and I don't even have them!

Also WTF is this bar running across the middle? Can I just cut that off?

this is what the factory rebar should look like.

And this is the radiator support.

I dunno if these help much but it's a start. BTW I cannot view your pics here at work. They are red x's for me :(

That bar running across the middle is definatly custom. Looks like it's sole purpose it to support the hood latch since the stock support has been cut out. This is the closest to stick picture I have.

You'll notice the factory support for the hood latch running between my fans. The only thing modified on the front end is the crash bar has been removed. That bar that has been added to your car can be removed by taking the bolt out of the part the crash bar would normally bolt up to. It is located on the bottem side of the frame rail.

Yours also looks like it has notches cut out for a front mount?
Yeah it had a smaller front mount on the car and I am upgrading now. Looks like I will just have to cut off that extra bar and drill some custom holes for my new front mount.

With the VRSF the mounting tabs go right under those bumper mounts right?

Thanks for the picture. Grooves were definitely cut for the FMIC that was already on there, they did a good job though because they are not hollow. They boxed them in like factory which is why I thought they looked weird.

I got it figured out guys, thanks for the help. I cut off that support bar that somebody "custom" installed. Also since whoever did this cut the grooves into the frame, they went ahead and boxed it in all the way around. You know how from the factory there is that groove on the backside for the wiring harness to be tucked in? Well around these grooves it is boxed all the way around.

Soooo....to install my VRSF I had to drill all the way through on both sides and purchase longer bolts with nuts. All in all it wasn't that complicated but I was a little worried when I first peeked under the bumper.

Now I just need to run my piping, GM IAT bung welded in, TB gaskets installed, WG vacuum lines ran, aluminum radiator put in, slim fans wired up, intake installed, GM Map installed, 1000cc injectors put in and then learn to tune SD. Then I can start the car again:p
