It will look like crap, the body lines wont flow well and it will look like a shopping cart when you put the top down. When was the last time you saw a convertible with a high rise wing? Look at Ferrari...or any exotic car whos manufacturers pay car designers to make the cars, they dont put one on for a reason you know.....

That is what I am thinking, but it would be different. I hate the Picnic table wings, and wanted something different than just a stock wing on this project. I have a feeling it will look like crap but just wanted to see it in action first.

i dont think it would fit. the stock turbo wing takes up space that the convertibles just dont have. and if you were to find a way to put it on, im guessing that it would look crappy man. And you would have to reapaint the whole rear end of the car due to all the holes that the 3pc wing has. convertibles are not ment for aerodinamics (spelling?) they are just a crusing car. :)

I am pretty sure it will fit on there, but was wondering if the wing bolts up in the same place as the three point wing. I know the side of the car would have to be filled in from the two pieces, but wasnt sure if the trunklid would have to be redrilled. If that is the case it isnt worth it.

hey my spyder has the turbo wing on it and i like it alot, i also get lots of compliments from people that say they like the wing alot on there. i should be getting some pictures of my car this weekend so you can see what it looks like

It looks like a sneaker/shopping cart with the big wing. The second pic with the red Spyder looks better (dare I use the word) than the other two, it's the fake roll bar thing in the middle that does it :)

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the help on this one!! I was really considering doing this, but since the holes dont line up, I dont want to put that decklid through any more trauma than it already has been through- (it was lightly burned and have sanded it completely to metal and am redoing it.). I do like it though, but probably not enough to fork out the $$$.

I have a 98 spyder. I would only put a low wing like the stock one or even a drag type over something that gets more attention than the the car as a whole. I would not look bad but, cost for function decides my actions when it comes to upgrades. For instance, the 2g front bumper is a great look. I would not replace it unless I had to. Instead I will look for a lip. To each it's own.
