is a 7-bolt engine from a 1g(including water pump, oil pump, gears. etc) the same 7 bolt in my car? Also will I be able to use 2g parts on it and be able to stick it in my 2g without any modifications. I found a few posts about people sticking 1g engines into 2g's but its always a 6-bolt, so obviously you can't use 2g parts. Hope you guys/gals understand my question.

Oh in case your wondering why in the world I would get a 7-bolt instead of getting a 6-bolt...well I can get it for free.

Are you going to put the whole engine in or just use it as a parts engine

parts engine. If my pumps go bad I want to know if I could replace it with the 1g 7bolt. When my block seizes up I will replace it with the other block. Is that possible?
