I was wonderin if runnin "race gas" will jack my car just daily drivin, also is there a noticable power gain in runnin this kind of gas, i have yet to try it because no one i know can give me a strait answer, ill take some extra power, but idont wanna risk fuckin my shit up, thanks

Well yea, race gas should give you extra power.(hence the name Race gas) But I dont think it would be a good Idea to use daily driven. First of all, it is expensive, its gives you better MPG but i dont think it makes of for the cost. The leaded race gas is not good for 02 sensors and I dont think the Cat likes it either. Try it though, it should feel nice and you can up the boost a little bit. There might be a Sunoco in your area that has 100 octane gas which would be good, but very costly

If you're rich then race gas is fine for daily driving. But most really high octane gases (104+) are pretty much all leaded. Lead will damage the O2 sensor and destroy the hell out of any cat. Any non-leaded gas would be fine for everyday driving. The power increase would not be there unless your boost is tweeked with from stock levels. Higher octane gas (not going to get into the basics of it) but reduces the chance of knock and allows for you to push way higher boost or compression ratios and still maintain little or no knock which in our cars with a knock sensor built into the ECU will allow timing to be advanced thereby increasing power quite a lot. Look up through a search Xylene, or locate the thread on it and read about that if you want to try out higher octane gas that would be a good starting point that would allow you to experiment without breaking your wallet just yet.
