My car had some red caliper paint on it when I bought it. I thought it looked awesome. Well, over a year has passed now and they are starting to look like crap. It has flaked in a couple spots, and whereas it used to be bright red, is now a faded orange.
Anyways, I think I'm gonna go with the Folia Tec laquer this time and be done with it. I am curious how to get the old paint off? I don't want to remove the calipers from the car. Would a wire brush work? Maybe turpentine? I am just worried about getting solvent all over my pads and rotors since I'm gonna do this with the parts still on the car.
