Anyone got one of these yet? If so, can someone post some results/reviews?

I am the FIRST one to have received this new regualtor. I have been communicating with Mike for about the last 6-8 months now on this thing (ever since the very first ad was posted on the dsmtrader). I got mine about a week or so ago. Let me just put it this way...I have a 10 gauge re-wired Walbro 255HP pump, 660cc inj.'s, and the S-AFC. When I installed the regualtor and gauge and started the car the gauge only showed 12psi!!!!! Low enough for ya?! And it adjusted to 38 psi NO PROBLEM. I, so far, am very happy with the regulator. It is quite stout for such a small piece (it's actually physically smaller than the stock regulator as far as actual size goes!). It's a very attractive piece (billet aluminum) as well. Besides that they are STILL making it even better before it goes into FULL production. I highly recommend that anyone interested in an AFPR check www.spoolinup.com out. I am very impressed with it! Any of you have any questions for me just ask. Thanks.

12psi

The regulator was fully open. The purpose of the FPR is to control FP in the rail. It does this by returning a certain amount of fuel tothe tank. Picture the FPR pinching the return line off. The more it closes the retutn line, the more pressure builds in the rail. If the regulator was fully open and you made 12psi with a rewired 255, then this shows that this reg can return a great deal of fuel to the tank. The stock regulator cannot, and therefore it causes extra pressure to develop because it can't send enough fuel back. Seem really good. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

mine was bought with a 60psi summit racing liquid filled FP gauge (mounts right on the reg.)
Mine is on it's way, should be here later this week.

Post the pics!

BTW - Do you guys realize that if you have/get a 60 psi gauge and you dial in your base fuel pressure @ 43 psi (with the vacuum signal hose disconnected,) that at only 17 lbs of boost pressure you will have run out of fuel pressure gauge...
Just a thought. ;)

An 85 psi gauge would be best, but a 100 psi gauge with 2 psi increments would be okay too. Check out Grainger's for nice, liquid-filled, decently priced gauges. Make sure you get a 1/8 NPT connection if you order a gauge somewhere else. Also, Westach makes an 85psi electrical type fuel pressure gauge. Their sender unit has a 1/8NPT connection. The gauge, sender unit and light kit is about $100. Don't forget to mention your ClubDSM discount!

If the people just put the gauge under the hood, which most will anyway because they put other important gauges inside the car, they will probably use the gauge for base pressure most of the time yesterday. So this wouldn't be a problem for these people, no?

Personally, when I got on the list, I asked for a 100 PSI gauge, and now that I write this, knowing that I'd probably just keep the gauge under the hood like I wrote above, I'm wondering which gauge I should get now... Oh well, since the pressure should increase 1 PSI for every 1 PSI of boost, unless there's another good reason, I'll just go for the 60 PSI gauge. Oh yeah, he said there are no 100 gauges or something, guess I gotta get the 60 :)

That link is not even working for me.

Late,
link not working....

Mike has taken the money out of my account but I too still have not gotten a confirmation from him yet. I am not talking about "I will have it shipped" I am more interested in the UPS tracking no.

I didn't order a guage with my order, but I will have no problem finding a 100psi liquid filled gauge.

I guess its also time to throw in that supra pump i've had for about 1yr.:D
