I heard the spoolinup FPR for 2G is supposed to be available near the end of this year.. well it's almost time, and I am not sure how much longer can I wait for it.

Does anyone now?

I am sure mike will catch this sometime soon and reply but I am sure you are wanting one soon so I will chime in. The regulator has been pushed back sometime into mid to late Janurary. They have gone through several redesigns since the space is so limited and their last idea didn't work either so they have to redesign it again. I have seen the shop and Tony does incredible work so I would suggest holding off til this piece comes out cause it will be well worth your wait, trust me.

95 gst, there will be a 2g adjustable reg. These darn things are alittle trickier than any of the other regs Tony has designed due to the limited room from the timing cover.

But the good news is the new 2g DESIGN is not only done, but will not point towards the timing cover. So it is kindof like the elbow, but the actual reg is sitting up towards the hood, and just slides into the rail like the 1g does, but the adjustment is on top now.

This design is so much better for this car that eventually all the dsm regs will look like this. So, look for this sometime hopefully in jan, and this one is not going to need fittings. Tony designed it where you will just screw in the gauge on the reg. Unlike the port we have for the 1g. The 1gs design now will kindof be a
piece that you will see on a car and say that was the one of the first 100 regs designed, kind of like a rare set of heads on a car.

So hang in there, it will function exactly the same as the 1g, and will definetly lower the psi, as the test car was choked off of fuel at 24 psi when it was installed and almost died right on the start up.

First February post !

(bump) hehe

I know Spoolinup monitored the other monster thread, but since I'm a 2G, decided to give him a gentle reminder on this thread. hehe

My Denso 660s and the 255lph could probably use some accurate control. :D

Mike, you there ?? hehe

Seatown, our first 1g customer had the 660cc with the 255 and the hot wire kit and on the install, his car somehow started at
12 psi.

The answer is coming soon, the bottoms are done and the internals.

But the 3000 gt one is also getting done at the same time so it bumped things alittle later than we liked. But you will see one really soon. If it takes this whole month I will be really surprised.

$130 and lifetime warranty, and we will see about the screw in gauge port that will take any 1/8 npt male right into the reg. So not only will this control the fuel pressure, but you will be able to read the pressure off it.

Hang in there.

Good to hear from you!

Can I run 50 PSI base pressure.. does it do 70 PSI under 20 PSI of boost?

And, I must say 1/8NPT female port is a wise choice. 1/8NPT male fitting in aluminum is always dangerously fragile. I had these broke before.

95 gst, you can run 50 psi base, and you will see 70 psi at 20 psi boost. The reg is linear, so it moves up 1:1 with the boost.
You can actually run up to 60 psi base on the stock spring, and more on the extra spring that comes in the kit.

As for the screw in gauge, the new designs will have them, but I will say, this is just a extra over the top option. Meaning, the reg in it self is plenty good, but to be able to put a gauge off it is even better.

But if things do not work out for some reason on the screw in, its gone. It is not as important to have the gauge off it as just a solid reg that will control the pressure problems. All adjustable fuel regs I have seen so far do not have the custom bolt on with a fuel gauge. The big plates and so on might, but not the custom applications. So, it really is not the regs function to be a reg and a fuel gauge host. So if it works, even better, if there is a hint of something, gone.

There will be more ways to get the pressure near the rail, the filter one will not be the only way, our feedline will have a 1/8 th npt port right on the other end of the rail.

Hmm don't be so skeptical.. Mike@spoolinUp actually comes here and gives up an update quite often.

Why is it taking so darn long, I don't know :) Maybe a small company does not have the most effecient manufacturing process, but that's ok; but I'm sure it will come out, some 1Gs actually have it already.

Unfortunately the term "Vaporware" is coming to mind.

I hope this product actually appears at some point, I would love to have one. :) Hopefully I will still have a DSM when that happens.

Project gsx your playing with me right?

Have you not seen the 1g reg already out?

We have already come through on something no one in 12 years has done, a true custom bolt on reg for your motor. It only took about 3 months for the 1g to get done, and numerous redesigns were done in weeks.

Vaporware is for guys that do things in there back yard fantasy land. Tony does things others wish they had the knowledge and ability to do.

Its coming, and now yours is going to cost triple!

Alright, maybe just double. (j/k)

<Bump>

Well it's getting close to the end of February.. Any updates??
I'm sick of running too much fuel pressure.. :) Car Stinks..
Also my email is about to change, and I don't wanna lose my spot on the mailing list..

Ok theres some good, and kind of bad (for some running really rich)

The good, 2g reg has been on a car and passed the leak, and linear pressure test. :D

The kind of bad, now all 3 regs on the same tooling (1g, 2g, 3000gt) so the time frame is pushed. There will be a bunch of regs ready but all will be ready for early march. :(

I know this sucks, but things so far have not gone to a timeframe like all the other regs that tony has designed. Now that all 3 are going to be on 1 tooling there is a split in time on getting enough of each done. There will be more 2g regs at start up due to the already available 1g reg.

The regs will look like the stock 2g, pointing up. No elbow is needed, will be just like your stocker.

Please be patient, atleast you are going to get a solution to the rich problem the big pumps produce. It might of taken longer than anyone would of liked, but it is here and atleast the 1g guys have one available already.

Sorry, I know you've heard this before but, HANG IN THERE!

Thought I would spice things up around here.

Due to the delay of the regs, I have decided to do a FREE REGULATOR GIVEAWAY in March for the 1g, 2g and
3000gt/stealth.

SO, all you have to do is in March, go to my site www.spoolinup.com and register your name, email and vote for the two bands and your done. No money and should only take a minute.

You can only register once and for one car, or the database will kick you out. And April 1st the 3 winners will be on the site getting the FREE REGS sent for FREE to them. ( not an april fools joke )

If this goes well I will consider doing more free giveaways, if not, its a make up gift to some lucky guys who have been waiting for months on this to come out. So get the word out on this and I might be raffling off an intercooler some day.

I must of failed business 101.

Am I the only one that doesn't know what the hell is going on on that voting page? :D

#26 ·
Your kidding me again right?

How does giving away $135 to someone with signing up for free, and voting for a free website get slammed?

It is all for free!

The voting does not make me any money and really another way for me to promote something I do with the rest of my day.

Lighten up Project GSX, this stuff is supposed to be fun.

And is not ballot stuffing for things that are important?

That site is a nobody in the game of somebodys. It is not going to make me famous I will tell you that.

You do not have to vote. No big deal, but I know this,

I have spent $1000's of dollars on parts, and not one was for free. So, I take things I would like and now am able to apply them to things I do.

I still say its way to good and easy.

Regs will be ready this month for all 3 cars.
