sporadic wheel squeek and i cant find it

this is probably hard to diagnose when you cant actaully hear it, but ill try to explain it as best as i can

the noise is coming from the left wheel only, and its not a constant squeek, it goes squeek...squeek...squeek depending on how fast the wheel is turning. the crazy part is it seems to do it whenever it wants. i have only heard it doing left turns, and the slower and sharper the turn the worse it is. one time in a parking lot it was really really loud, but then ten minutes later i could go around a corner and not notice it. ive never heard it going faster than 15, except slightly one time going 35

i thought maybe it had something to do with the rotors because it sounds kind of like the warning strip( a high pitch shrill noise) and i usually hear it coming from a stop, but ive got tons of pad on 4 month old rotors and i heard it going around a shallow curve once when i hadnt touched the brakes in 5 minutes

i tried listening for it with the car on a lift. i had a guy in it run the car, turn the wheel at idle and in gear, and i couldnt hear a thing.

sorry for the somewhat long post but does anyone have any ideas or things to check?

WTF is a grease Zert??Greased fittings DSM's have none. It is most likely a brake issue, as I have had many of those......Brakes make noise sometimes. Are your rotors grooved/gouged?Do you have any problems stopping? Turning? If no to all, I wouldn't worry about it.

no, nothing feels bad, which is why this is so hard to find. the rotors look fine and are pretty new.

You probably have one brake where the shims are a little looser than the others. This allows the pad to vibrate. It doesn't do it all the time because brakes are affected by humidity. Warm the brakes a little and it goes away. Did the pads come with anti-rattlle adhesive shims?

I'd probably just ignore it but if you like to tinker you can probably fix it.

check your wheel hub bearing! just a thought,90=high miles, possible worn parts

Mine does this too but I know what it is and just haven't fixed it yet. On mine it's the anti-rattle clip on the rear brake moving around because it's missing a piece it still holds but it moves and touches the rotor sometimes. It also did this when a caliper bolt was loose causing it to touch the inside of the wheel. Mine are still 14's so I don't think this applies.
ZERK is the proper name for a grease fitting.

Yeah, anti rattle clips, the ones at the ends of the pads. The service manual calls them shims.
