I believe its the Idle tension pully. I dont know for sure why it would go from fine to squeal between the old engine and new engine, perhaps when I was cleaning it some lubrication from inside came out? Do those normally fail? What would be the damage if it locks up? I dont know if I will be able to get around to doing it this weekend as the weather doesnt look like its going to hold up. I need to get the car down to the shop sometime this week or next week, depending on the fab guy to get my IC piping welded. Looks like that may need to wait.

Damnit, wish this would have came up before I put the new motor in, I hate doing timing with the engine in the car.

It's easy.... Also do not drive the car because it can cause the timing to jump if it locks up...
Honestly if you have put this much time and work in this engine and being in dsm's since 2005 you should know what would happen if you drive the car.

Its spinning freely for now. It just started doing it on Sunday, at least thats when I first noticed it. Car has not been moved since nor started.

Damnit, guess I am SOL. Maybe I will just replace all the pullies in there while I am in there to make sure nothing else pops up.

Double checking this is the right part name so I can order it tomorrow.

I was getting a squealing sound on start up it was the alternator.
Not the Alt, I used a piece of fuel line as a stethoscope to pin point the location of the sound.

I would have a close look at the crank pulley, check for signs of seperation. If it all checks out fine, bite the bullet and get that pulley changed before it causes a huge headache.
Its for sure not the crank pully.

Yeah.. I just freaking hate doing timing. I also dont have anything to compress the tensioner with hehe. Looks like I am going to have to make a drive to the nearest vice this weekend.

Alright, your gonna hate me or love me for this, but you can compress the tensioner by compressing it inbetween your car and a floor jack. I swear to God it works great I just had to do it like 6 times this weekend before I got my timing perfect. I did my timing while the engine was in my car and it wasnt that hard since I had done it before. Just give it a chance and alotta patience.

You can also use your battery tie down or any 8mm/1.25 thread threw the whole under where the FPR is. There is a little plug.
