also can some one tell me how to get the pic at the bottom of my posts?

Tim-
I haven't done it yet, but am about to. Looks like it'll take a little strategic hacking, but not too much. First thing you'll want to do is rework the IC.
You have to change the inlet, as you can see from your IC, the inlet pipe would be facing into the radiator if you were to mount it in your 2G. Cut off that inlet, and as you face the IC rotate the inlet pipe 45deg. to the left. I would probably upgrade the inlet/outlet to 2.25" while your at it. The IC outlet pipe you can get away with just shortening by chopping off that long part running over the top of the IC. Leave the "close-to-90-deg." bend (elbow)on the IC, you are just shortening the outlet pipe at this point. At the end of the long outlet pipe you just cut off, you'll notice a little bend (25deg. I think). You can chop off that bend portion and re-weld it to the portion of the IC outlet pipe that you didn't hack off the IC.
Damn, this is gonna take a while, give me a mail if you want. Be happy to give you any info I have, I don't want to write a three page mega-post here.

i have a Starion FMIC in my 97 GST with 2.5 inch outlets on it, they barely fit though.. i would strongly recommend using 2.25 inch or even 2 inch, finding 2.5 inch 45 and 90 degree bends is very tough, find 2.5 inch flex hose is damn near impossible... also make sure you use beaded pipe so the hose clamps dont burst off.. the install is very aggrivating....not to mention a pain in the arse.

boostedv8killer: couldnt i have a shop fabricate the bend?? how did you do it?? what is the flex hose-similar to rubber/radiator hoses?? if so i want to have pipes bended for a clean/custom job. do you have pics of the install or finished product and did you feel a noticeable increase in power??

no i dont have any pics yet...other than it looking cool, it didnt make much of a gain, the gains i did see i think come from using the big ass 2.5 inch pipe instead of the tiny stock...you could have a shop fabricate the piping, but thats a lot of $$$...i used some 2.5 inch pipe we had left over from making a downpipe, used two of those bends, and beaded if ourselves, used JB weld to make the new outlets to the IC. bought some 2.5 inch rad hose from a heavy diesel truck store.. used that to make connectors and used a bunch of hose clamps...and bought a couple 2.5 inch bends from pep boyz... you will also have to cut out your bumper support to make this fit...and possibly some of the bumper cover...its a big pain!!! also after your done putting it on, test drive around boosting it through for a good 20-30 mins just to make sure none of the hose clamps blow off...make sure you use beaded piping!!! HAVE FUN!

before you install that,is it true that the starion intercooler doesnt do shit for your car,but looks, and after you spend $150-$200 on a used starion intercooler and all the garbage you'll need for it,you could have bought a used greddy or apex'i for $400-500 on thepartstrader
