Ok keep in mind I'm not too mechanically inclined yet....

I have searched all over this forum about my install with a Blitz EGT gauge but still have a few questions.

What the hell is a tap? Is this just the screw in part of the probe? Or is this something the screw in part of the probe screws into?

Does anyone know the specific size of hole I need for the Blitz probe?

Overall which is better..... leaving the car on while drilling through or just using a magnet at the end?

Is directly on top the best place for it? I've heard of people doing it under.... is there a real difference in measurements taken?(I am thinking it would look better not going in directly on top)
