ok guys.. Ive decided not to wait till spring.. Im gonna splrge on my baby.. I need your helping in making sure I choose the right stuff..

Im planning on ordering

Performance:
FP Big 28 from FP along with Ported Turbine Housing and Ported O2 Housing for 940 + cores..

Spearco FMIC and getting custom piping done. I think the intercooler is the 2-216 which is 24x7x3 and costs 446 then Ill just have to get the piping done which I have someone local who says they will for less then 200. only other thing is I have to tell them where to place the end tanks for the spearco, anyone know how it should be??

Fuel Pump.. god Im still stuck on this.. I already have 550s and an AFC but I dont know what fuel pump to go with.. Im gonna ask FP for their suggestion. Im really wanting the Denso 190 but I dont know if its enuf for one and I cant find it anywhere for the life of me. Ill prolly end up getting the Walbro 255..

Suspension:

RM Sway Bars.. directly from RM for 300.. heard their the best and no one seems to complain..

Koni Yellows.. I plan on ordering from www.shox.com but I cant find a price on their website so Ill contact them tomorrow.. Ive heard these are supposedly the best shocks for the DSM.

Ground Control Coilovers.. it was a toss up between this and skunk 2 but Ive heard skunk 2 is more of a honda brand and the GCs should be better for the Eclipse. only problem is I have no clue where to buy them from. Suggestions??

Upper Mounts?? someone told me I need upper mounts.. I dont even know what upper mounts are, can anyone please explain what they are and where I can get them from and also if I need them :)

I plan on ordering all this before end of day Friday and putting it all in the car over the next 2-3 weeks. I really need everyones help on this as I wanna make sure I got everything right and the best places to buy from for $$ reasons as well as service reasons.

thanks for any help in advance :)

http://www.groundcontrol.com - they will not only sell you the coilovers, but recommend spring rates based on what your intended usage is, as well as explain what upper mounts are.

I don't know why a 190 wouldn't be big enough for a T28/28 - I intend to use a rewired 150 on my 16G, and they flow about the same amount of air, I believe.

Larry,
Don't bother with the walbro 255. I have the FP T28/28 with 610cc injectors and a 3000gt vr-4 fuel pump rewired. It is more than you will ever need with that turbo. With zero noise, no need for an aftermarket FPR and a $40 price tag (at least for mine). You really can't lose
go to http://www.3si.org and try and find a used one

Well, before I got my injectors and pump in, I was running the FP T28/28 with stock injectors and pump (rewired). I was boosting to 13 psi without any problems. However, I would recommend at least having an AFC or something to richen it up if need be.
But, if you are going to be putting your stock pump back in and going through the trouble, why not get a 3000gt vr-4 fuel pump and replace it with that one? It is very cheap.

fusion-

I already have the S-afc in but I find that i have to have my settings at -15 and sometimes in the -20's accross the board. I think i heard one time that the Walbro 255lph is hard on the stock injectors. Does this make any sense?

Thanks!

If you have stock injectors still, it is probably because your walbro is overrunning your stock fuel pressure regulator. With stock injectors and a 16g, you should really be running in the positives on the AFC. My advice, ditch the walbro 255.

OK this is completely outwardly obnoxiously nosy, but I'm wondering how you afford all this stuff so quickly? Didn't you just get your dsm? and don't you also have a new celica show car with tons of mods done?
Just wondering thats all, I think I need your job... :( Sorry to be nosy, you really don't have to answer.

BTW your mod list looks fine, though I would spend the extra money and get a bolt-in FMIC, it's just easier/better in the long run IMO.

actually that show car Celica was wrecked 2 weeks before i boght my DSM :(.. I had extra insurance coverage of 5000.00.. so basically thats modding $$.. So I bought the DSM, got a good job and still l iving at home.. so I put away what I need to to do what I want..make sense??

as for the intercooler.. it would end up being about 100 more for a large greddy fmic, 800.. but Ive heard bad things about the Greddy as in it will break if a rock hits it and Im known to be a tailgater..

larry, youve got to let us know how the fp-t28 works out for you... im very interested and i plan on getting it as well... i just need to save up :p

1. Turbo.....good.

2. Intercooler.....the 2-216 core is 3.5-10.5-28 (not what you quoted) which means it is big. It will work though but piping and such may be a tight fit. I am not sure of what endtanks to use. I believe that the 2-216s that I have seen have the inlet and outlet both at the bottom with 2.5" openings. Take a look at Andre's site to see what you are getting into.

3. Fuel pump......190 lph should be fine rewired. 255 is overkill for this turbo.

4. Everything else.......RM Bars=good.

Many people are using GCs and love them. I only know of a few people using the Skunk coil-overs and they are also happy with them. I would go with GCs because of their variety of spring rates in 50 lb increments to get exactly what you want.

Upper mounts-depends on what struts you use. If you get Konis they aren't needed but for others I would get them to keep some of your suspension travel, especially if you use AGXs. ;) All the upper mounts do is move the upper spring perch further up into the well which gives you about 1" more travel. This is a very rough explanation but you get the idea.

Ill be sure to let everyone know how the Big 28 works out for me.. now to my one last question :)

fuel pump.. is the 3000GT a direct drop in and do I need to order any specific one, like the VR4 one or the SL one or what not?

Larry,
You need the Vr-4 pump (or stealth TT pump)
go to http://www.3si.org (down now for some reason, but will be back up I'm sure)
don't pay more than $50 for a used pump.
You may have to start up a wanted:fuel pump thread
And don't tell them it's for a DSM, they'll jack the price

Install is very easy, just follow the vfaq for the denso pump.

Hope I could be of some help

Joe

If you need the VR-4 pump in a hurry, there is a company called msrecycling.com that seems to always have them in stock. You'll probably end up paying more (about $75-90 total), but again, if you need it in a hurry, they might be a good place to look. I got mine in about a week, and it's warrantied for 6 months.
