So, magically my car is messed up. Yesterday everything was perfectly fine with no signs of any problem. Today I drive to go run some errands and I am wanting to switch lanes so I go about 50% throttle and my RPM's just climb like it is in neutral but I am not moving anywhere. I was near my destination so I kind of just shrugged it off and didn't figure it was much of a problem. When I got done and got back in the car I wanted to drive it around a little more to see if it happened again. 1st gear is completely fine, but once I hit 2nd the RPM's climb without moving. I go to 3rd gear and see if it happens there and sure enough it does. I could barely pick up speed to get on the freeway because everytime it got to 4k RPM's it started revving. My AFC is also indicating that throttle% is 0 when in actuality I am almost at WOT. Has anything like this ever happened to anybody else? I basically have a fast car that is unable to go fast and it sucks really badly.

It's a Fidanza 3.2 clutch. I thought it was supposed to be a reputable one, but I guess I need to figure out which to purchase now. I am thinking ACT 2600 kit or the Centerforce Dual Friction. Anybody have any suggestions?

Yeah man, no biggie, just your clutch... Same thing happened to me when I first got my dsm... I thought it was normal until it smelled like burned clutch and I could barely move....

I had a burned out clutch. It was a bitch to get the damn thing to go anywhere. But didn't have the money so I really burned it...drove it like that for a week till payday. I could have pushed the car uphill faster than it would drive.

Well, I was told I would need a new clutch soon so I knew it was coming. I ended up just buying a Stage 4 Clutchmasters 6 puck kit today. The kid I bought the car from said that the shop installed the current clutch wrong and he mentioned that he slipped it quite a bit when it was first installed..so he probably screwed it up right away. Hopefully this new clutch will last me awhile...I read some pretty good reviews about it.

Do NOT get a Centerforce clutch! Mine didn't last for 5,000 miles before it went south. There are plenty of reputable companies that sell good clutches for DSM's (PTT, ACT, Clutchmasters, etc). Try them!
