Underhood clicking sound sync with RPM from valve cover

Started up my car this morning to let it warm up since it's about 35F here, and I noticed a clicking sound coming from under the hood.

I popped the hood and it sounds like it's clicking inside the valve cover.
I blipped the throttle and the clicking got faster.

Uh, what do you think this is? I'm kind of scared.

my car has been doing this as well...

in the morning especially...

but sometimes it will just do it out of the blue while i'm sitting at a light or something...

also; another startup problem...
my turbo makes very very loud spinning noises on warmup

if i build to about 3psi its making a lot of noise... so if i let it run out through 1st and 2nd gear; the problem goes away... its like the oil is getting to the turbo or something; i dunno... any suggestions?

I figured that's what it was... And after the car warmed up for a couple minutes the sound went completely away.

I drove the car carefully just to be sure nothing bad happened.

As long as I drive the car slowly/carefully when it's cold I don't think it will be much of a problem, especially if it's as common as it appears to be.

I didn't rev it up.

I said I blipped the throttle (to maybe 1200 RPMs) just to hear if the noise would accelerate.

Once the sound went away and the temperatuer gauge was up, I drove to college never shifting over 3000 RPMs.

Mine does it no matter how cold it is. It stops after about 10 minutes of driving.
Also - no matter how cold it is, it always stops if I rev above 3000 RPM. Not to worried about it, I am in the process of working on the valves...

Speaker - I believe the lifters will tick at lights because of your low oil pressure. With my Amsoil in, my pressure needle is barely about the first notch, so my lifters bitch at me.

???

i had the same problem but then it went compleatly away, its weird, i did nothing that had anything to do with the lifters, i put 94 octane sunnoco gas, some shogun fuel injector cleaner, and a set of bosch platinum +4 plugs, and the noise was no longer there 100mi later, i dont understand, but its no longer there, it was 19deg out thins morning and still no lifeter noise, it must involve somthing elese? i dont know
