I'm looking at getting either a set of the tanabe gf210's or the tein s-tech's for a 95 gst. I was just wondering if anyone knows about the handling improvement, the ride quality, you know that kind of good stuff. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Is this going to be on the stock struts? this will help determine what kind of springs you should run.

I just put a set of gr-2s on the car but within the next couple of months i'll be upgrading the struts also. Why would that make a difference though?

Come on guys i need your suggestions.

GR-2's are basically oem replacement shocks. The shocks are going to make the ride more than the springs that you choose (obviously, to a certain extent). I (and many other dsmer's) love Koni Sports.

Tein S-Techs have 190/110 rates. That should be enough to keep you away from them.

I have the tanabes Df210 (2 inches drop) with stock shocks right now and the ride is just plain UGLY when the road is not even or bumpy , and i know the problem is the shocks not the tanabe springs so sport shocks are a must for this model.
and i heard the Gf210 are ok with stock shocks because the drop is just 1 inch or even less on some setups but also the gr2s aint good enough for dropped cars.

im buying online the koni yellows this friday
ill let you know what happens after the mech. put em on

I"ve been looking at h&r oe sports but does anyone know the spring rate it hsn't stated it on any of the websites that i found them on

You should stay on tuners because this was talked about so many times this past month that its not even funny. Why not just search a little and see what you can dig up?

H&R Race Springs are 430f/260r. I don't think the OE Sports are the same rate, since they're supposed to be slightly stiffer than stock. 430/260 is almost double the stock spring rate.

I'd go with the Tein. They are proven. If your looking for a good budget spring. Go with the Eibach pro. This has been discussed many a time. Next time search. Just a friendly reminder.;)
I don't know what you mean by the prokits being a budget spring they sell for more than the tein by like $70 and i have been researching this thats why i asked what the spring rate was on the prokits because they seem to be the springs of choice by many.

The GF Tanabes are stiffer than stock by over 30%, so stock struts will blow. the DF are just a dress up spring, meant only the drop the car while keeping a fairly stock spring rate.

Stick with either the ProKits or the Teins if you want a good ride.

If you want handling, and ride be damned, go coilovers. They will cost the same in the long run, after you get the alignment kits, springs and struts.

I think i'm just going to go with the prokits and if the struts go, i guess its time for new ones.
