Just hit my 100th post so I thought I'd start a new one to get some activity. What is everyone currently running in their DSM's?

Kenwood P-907 (in dash TV)
Kenwood KAC-500 50x4 (4ohms)
Kenwood KAC-400 300x1 (4ohms)
Kenwood KFC-WS202 Tornado
All stock speakers for now I have some aftermarket speakers just didn't get to install them yet. My 6x9's didn't fit so I have to find some that will and for the front I have Kenwood KFC-Xr60P components.

'91 TSi AWD packing pure Pioneer Premier

DEH-P600...Headunit, CD player with remote
TS-1018....4" in-dash speakers
TS-E1690...6-1/2" 3-way speakers in the doors
TS-E6990...6"x9" 3-way speakers in the rear
PRS-X720...Amp, rated 685 watts @ 4 ohm mono
TS-W1240C..12" Subs (two), wired to 2 ohm mono

Custom made three chamber dual bandpass box with triangular ports. I designed and built this box with race-day removal in mind while still being a bitch to steal. Check out my site for more info:

http://www.geocities.com/nmudl

Last season in a different box I ran 13.5 @ 102.5 mph with the box in the trunk; that box hit 143.2 db. This year I hope to hit 12.99- on first day of the season AND hit 145+ db at the same time.

Gather round CHILDREN! :)

Car Alarm :

Prestige - AudioVox Alarm with shock sensor and remote start. In addition to that I have a dual stage proximity sensor which alerts someone if they are too close to my car. This alarm will also keep the car running just like a turbo timer! This is very helpful and saves me some money!

Head Unit :

Clarion DRX9175 passive CD deck

Digital Sound Processor (DSP) - Clarion DPH7300 external DSP

Speakers :

Fujitsu Eclipse - 8052 5" Driver with 3/4" silk dome tweeter and crossover in the rear. I replaced the factory tweeters in the front with the 1" Eclipse tweeters in place of their 3/4". (4 drivers and 4 tweeters total)

JL Audio - 12w6 12" subwoofers (2 subs total) in a custom enclosure, which is removable. This helps out greatly when racing!

Amps :

Soundstream - Reference 1000 : 1000 watt amplifier x2 (for subs)

Soundstream - Rubicon 604 : 600 watt x 4 (for mids and highs)

Amp Rack - Custom created by myself and the help of my friends at Sound Design! Shop, tools, brains, etc. Rack was created to center some of the weight the amps have and to match the interior. All equipment was installed with 4 gauge power, 12 gauge speaker wire, custom length directional RCA cables from the DSP located in the factory amp location just under the passenger seat.

Farad Capacitor :

Lightning Pro Audio 1 Farad capacitor. This keeps the lights from dimming while the music is turned up loud. Also puts less load on the battery.

i'm getting a 4 channel soon, but it's not that annoying, i can still hear pretty good out of the fosgates and eclipse...and dont forget , the 7969 is 60wx4 rMS, not top end... it's hardwired to the battery, so it's almost a built in amplifier, but i'm getting a 4 channel soon, because the head unit gets too hot when it's hardwired. oh well :)

1997 gsx

3 mtx 8000's (10s)
sony dual dislay cd player
fosgate 6 1/2 doors
fosgate tweeters in dash
fosgate 6x9 rear
fosgate 800a2 running the subs with a fosgate 1 farad cap
(2) fosgate 360a2 amps running the mids and tweets
lots of wire and junk and it sounds ok for an entry level system ;)

Hey JZA, how do you like those Qforms? I was thinking of getting them, but they look like they would get in the way. Especially for the dead pedal and clutch. How do they sound. Are they really an improvement over the stock door panel locations. Do they really improve the imaging?

Well, to bring it back up, here is my system:
Pioneer Premier P808 Tape
Pioneer Premier P99 CD both in the double din opening, linked with Pioneers line out to CD input
(2 sets)Polk MM3000 tweets
(2 sets)Polk dB 5 1/4's
(1) Rockford Fosgate Punch 400x4 for the highs
(2) Crossfire 1000d's bridged together
(1) Atomic Thunder Shocker Extreme a.k.a MOUSE
2 guage power and ground
Soon to be added- HO alternator, maybe another battery
All of the equipment is sitting in my room except for the decks. I was going to run my 15" Hurricane Power Strokes, but they don't match with my current set-up. Check the DSMtrader for those.

Well, up until a few weeks ago I had a JVC KDSX650, 2 MTX 5000 12's, a Thunder 302, and Memphis 6x9's.......it wasn't great, but apparently it caught somebody's attention and they decided to steal it :).
Right now I have the factory AM-FM Cass that works half the time :)
I'm startin over soon with a Panasonic CQ-DF600..the warm blue glow has me hooked!

Hey, have any of you actually experimented with subwoofer firing direction? I know there are a lot of theories...facing up seemed to work well for my friends and me, but I was thinking about downfiring next time. Any opinions?

Two stock 4t's
Two aged Jensen 6x9's
Two brand new Pioneer 6 1/2's (sounded great in my other car)
No head unit. (still cant find the wiring either...even though i thought I found it twice...it seems like it was just for a 4 speaker system, and I have the 6..)

Soon to come...

POS Frontier head unit..
POS no name brand amp to power the front channels since the head unit is for a two speaker (beat that one! lol)

or maybe ill get a battery powered radio and throw it on the passenger floor...
