the check engine light came on my car, do i went and bought a code scanner, and it said that its a "fuel trim malfunction bank 1".
does anyone know what that means, and what i need to do to fix it?

well, I don't know for sure, So I hope I'm not wasting your time, But my guess would be that you may have an o2 sensor problem. I would first check my wires to the sensor, and then take it to a prof, or at least someone with a shop manual.

I'm 99.9% sure that's the generic code for the front O2 sensor.
