not nessaraly ,i have a head at work that i took off my 93 lazer nt .I was going to have it milled but its to close to the indicators. Iput water in each of the valves to check for leaks or bent valves .11 of the 16 leaked at a fast pace, but their was no running problems. I really doubt its bent its probly not sealing properly if you cant see a bend. when it back fires through the intake or exhaust with a miss fire then you have a bent or burnt valve.

How do you know you have bent intake valves? Leakdown test? Have you check timing yet?

no burning oil, no huge loss of power, no extremely rough idle?
Burning oil only if the valve guides were also damaged during the valve bending process, assuming you have bent valves, loss of power and rough idle depends greatly on how bad they're bent.

i took the head off and looked.. they all looked fine, except for one which i could see was slightly bent... i had to closely look at all the valves to make sure and id say it looks bent about a mm or two... i stuck it back on the car and figured if it really ran that bad i could just take it off and get it fixed...

however i am now waiting on a new turbo so that i can start her up...

lmfao...
Oh you're going to have fun with that...

You might have wanted to check how ONE valve got bent.
Its probably a bad lifter.

I want you to film it starting on a cold day.
As it back fires thru the manifold...
:p

You should have just got an extra intake valve and put it in, even that would be better than what you did. You're going to be pullin it all back off.

That would have been a good time to get new valves or o/s ones.
