can anyone tell me what the fastest time for a n/a 2nd gen in a 1/4 mile?? i am curious to know because i recently went to the track. i wanna know how far i am from the fastest n/a 2nd gen. also, i would appreciate any advice anyone could give me about racing on the track cuz i'm gonna go again in 2 weeks(had a lot of traction problems but managed to get a 16.7). thanks for the replies

I DISAGREE...

NYDSM has a 14.95 2g... i have tryed to contact him about a pic of the time slip and to talk about it... however he never contacted me.

I ran a 16.39 with an open intake and no muffler on my '97 5-speed, but i'm planning on giving it the gift of boost for christmas. that should lower me to the 14's. It took me quite a while to get that good of a time, i've ran a 17.1, a 17.9, and a 16.9 other than that time.

14.95? Wow...I would like to see that time slip. Was that a 1g or a 2g? Interesting....

Go to dsm.org and see if you can get the DSM track times page. There is a non-turbo no nitrous that ran 14.9xx

i intend to run 14's because i have a nt 95 talon and it is by far the fastest one in utah that i ever raced so far. i mean when i was stock i could beat eclipses with intake exhaust and hedders straight piped chipped. it didnt matter what they have i would smoke them unless they got a lot of head work but i havent found a eclipse or talon with head work. but now i have pacesetter header straight piped im getting exhaust after winter and i have an open air box. beleive it or not my car is gifted. my friend drives a 1 gen talon with 2.5 exhaust with no muffler and we raced for like 3 blocks and i smoked him. and he ran a 16.6 in the 1/4 so i will run and a high or mid 15. i will find out after winter when i get my exhaust and then i plan to do head work.

95 RS out here in southern cali was a low 14 sec car, or 13 by some unproven claims....high comp pistons, crazy cams, fully ported and polished head to name few. Think had 98 duro motor mounts too, like skateboards wheels, hurt your teeth.
