Hey guys i have a 98 2G. Im looking to buy a head to build on the side. I found one decently cheap but its from a 95. I know that the CAS on the 95 head is on the cam gear side. My question is are there any other differences? Can i change the cam gears and put the CAS on the other side to match the way my 98 head is? Or do i need a 98 head?
Whats the differences?

All 7 bolt heads are the same except the CAS. 93 or 94 had the darker color CAS I believe???
The intake cams are different, but the heads are the same for 2g's. The 95-96 cams are threaded to accept the cam sensor trigger. The 97-99's use a cam sensor on the other side- inside the cam gear. If you look on the 95 head - intake cam gear side, you should see two small threaded holes just like the 98 head.
