Who/where sells tubular exhaust manifolds for DSM's? Anybody have experience w/ these?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

That one by full-race is nice looking. Know how much it is? I couldn't find it.

I know Polk Performance has one in the works that is made of 321 Stainless and won't crack. It also has a custom flange that makes a smooth transition from the head to a 2" runner. Any turbo flange can be adapted to it as well. It's not up on the site yet, but if you want to contact them, www.polkperformance.com.

Thanks for the feedback so far:)
That ex. mani from full-race is rather impressive. Looks like it weighs a ton though.

Jon- I'm still deciding on the turbo. It was going to be the FP Red, but now I'm debating some other ones. Possibly that AGP turbo I read in another thread.....the L3R I think(630hp) or something else. I need the car first though. LOL.
Thanks.

im assuming you have heard of the new forced performance beast called the fp-30 (ball bearing garrett). it looks promising so maybe by the time you get the car it will be officially released and some times will be up. might want to check that out if you havent yet.

I found another one as well. AutoMotoSports out of Chicago has one. I'm not sure on the price. I'm sure it will be similar in price. I've known Martin for a few years now and can attest to his craftsmanship and well thoughtout designs. He said they're test version of the manifold is spooling a T61 to 20+psi by 4500RPM. That's damn impressive.

lambert-

whats up with the 2 ext wastegates?

i've never seen anything that crazy around here.

The double wastegate setup is to ensure accurate boost control. The turbo they're using this mani with is very big and is shoving lots of air into the motor. That air has to come out, and you don't necessarily need all of it pushing the turbine. One WG may not be enough, so better make it two.

I'm not sure if you can keep the A/C fan or not. It may show in the pics on there. I'll try to ask him at the Shootout and let yall know. If you can afford the mani, you can afford some slimline fans on the other side of the radiator to make up for the loss of the A/C fan if it won't fit. ;)

Here's a clip from the GVR4list that Martin posted about his tubular header.

"That setup is for T4 tangential divided housing. Spool up you ask, how does 25+psi of boost by 4500rpm on a T61/P trim .58 A/R sound?
We grouped the runners in firing order to decrease the boost
threshold (spool up), and the new header/T61 turbo setup spools quicker then the old stock manifold/T3-T4 setup we had. It would be a very tight fit to put in a GVR4 (we're making them for the 1g's and 2g's right now), but eventually we might make a few and run one on Adam's Galant. We used one tial 35 from each grouped runner section, but one 40 would work vented from one side of the collector also.

The price of the S.S. header is around $950, the first 10 are being made right now and about half of them are already spoken for.
BTW we are working with a fabricator/welder who works for a
CART team, the welds and quality of the header are the kind you
would find on an indy/CART car.
