Hey, i'm new to the dsm scene and i'm about to buy one. But first i was wondering whether i should get a GSX or GS-T. My goal is to get to 400 whp. Which one is more reliable??? Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks

Its all on what your looking for, with gst and 400hp your going to have alot traction problems. I've personally never owned a gsx but if you take care of either one they're both going to be reliable.

Gst would probably be more reliable drivetrain wise. Simply because it has less parts to break and you won't be doing 6-7k launches.
i do 6500k launches with my fwd+slicks

Can you even safley launch a completley factory awd car more than once with out destroying tranny, t-case, axles etc.....??

Yes they will actually handle quit a bit of abuse but with anything it will eventually break. Take care of your DSM and it will take care of you. :D
Well... most of the time. :p

AWD= fast off the line. FWD= fast from a roll. I personally would always take a gsx over a gst.

Yeah well at least he will be only buying 2 tires instead HAVING to buy 4 new ones.:)
Well, after rotating the rear tires to the front when you buy the new ones (or however you do it) you'll burn through those, too. lol so anotherwords by the time you roast 2 tires, put two more on, itll be time for the gsx's to be replaced. I'm sure it somewhat equals out, but that's dependent on the style of driving of each car, of course.

Why the hell should he get a dx or si? Are you just pulling his leg? IMO get the GSX no one likes sitting at the line in a cloud of smoke as the guy beside is pulling lengths on you. 400 hp would easily smoke a set of front tires in a weekend.

What, get the GS-T, its turbocharged, DUH!!!!!

Seriously, its all depends if you can find a gsx or not and whether not you have the money to care for an AWD (not much price difference). If you want a lighter car, etc. Its personal preference, I got a GS-T, but if I saw a GSX before I bought it, I would've picked the GSX, I don't care if it would cost more in the long run.

IMO, why not just look for a clean 2g. Look for the color you like, low miles and bone stock(adult/mature driven) and get it. I wouldn't look at JUST the drivetrain. You seem to be a noob(no offense) so get whichever is in better shape.

I would have gotten a GSX, but I bought mine considering how clean it is and the miles it has. 45k for a 97 is wirth tire spin, LOL.
