Who has gotten owned by a sleeper?

I was driving on the freeway last night and this car was hanging around behind me so I slow down to see what this guys driving and this (stock wheeled and muffler)rsx type-s goes cruising by. Then he slows down to my speed and I ask why he has all these A-pillar guages and he says lets race. So we slow down to 40mph and go on the 3rd honk and this guy slowly starts pulling on me and im like WTF:huh: then I hear his BOV and it started to make sense to me. He only managed to pull 4 or so cars on me to about 110mph. I felt like a retard thinking I was going to show some ricer up but in the end I ended up losing. So the next time I see some non-lower, factory muffler, and wheels car, I'm going to take a good look to see if I can see a huge FMIC sticking in his bumper.

I just want to hear other peoples stories of then get killed by some car the thought would be a forsure win.

The same thing kinda happened to me.... I was cruising a spot here in town and this red and black integra gsr pulls up next to me. I can hear that its boosted but I figure he can push what like 4-5 psi??? We take off from a dig and I OWNED him off the line, he starts pulling up to me through 2nd and as soon as we shift into third he was GONE. He had like two cars on me and was still pulling when I let off. IN MY DEFENSE(lol), I was only pushing 220hp on the t-2gay and I hope to meet up with him in my e3 set-up.... Damn ricer looking boosted mother f er.....

Anymore it seems like the rice burners are the new sleeprs, no one expects a bright yellow civic with an alluminum wing, huge body kit, and white 19's to be quick (just an example). There are a few cars in my area like that, there's a guy with a ricey looking Civic with a built and turbo'd motor, thing runs 12's, but it looks awful.

EDIT: Here's some pics from 2 summers ago when it was just swapped and turbo'd, I forget what motor is in it, some B-series. Ran a best of 14.3 back then like in the pic. If I pulled up next to this at a light, I would never expect lol.

Now my definition of a sleeper is a fucked up looking car with a built ass motor. Hidden guages, quiet stock looking performance exhaust. Quiet bov. Anything to not give you the slightest hint that it can whomp your ass.:p
That RSX-S wasn't really a sleeper IMO. They are decently quick. There was no way he could hide the fact he was boostin until he vented the bov.
If it was say, a rusted ass crx with a k20 rsx motor then that is a sleeper.
Or a ford focus with the 302 V8 swap. NOW THATS A SLEEPER!:cool:

Agreed.
There is a guy I know who swapped a 4g63 and the gsx drive train into a Hyundai Elantra. 500+ to the wheels without the nitrous. That's a sleeper. He makes good money with that car.

Or the 12 sec. turbo Geo Metro. There is a Pontiac Sunfire running around tulsa with a 50 trim. I haven't gotten the chance to beat it but it is kind of cool. Definitely surprises the LS and LT crews.

I've been pwned by a POS crx hatchback with a GSR swap. Don't know if he was on the bottle or not, but I killed him till third gear, where my T-2gay was falling on it's face. With my new and improved big t-28 from FP, I don't think that will happen ever again. :cool:

Lol this guy must me making it round town, i was sitting down in mickyd's and look out to window to see this civic racing some prelude..... he sure is building is kill list.... now to just fix my boostleak/oil leak/ 2gpedal pump ill be able to put my 50trim on and shut this guy up....

There's a beat to hell late 70's Impala around here that is running a 572 big block with no exhaust manifold gaskets (I'm guessing that's part of the disguise) . It just sounds like a tired car with exhaust leaks but the thing will damn near lift the front tires from a roll. If you don't notice the slight sagging in the front, you'd never think a thing in the world from it. At least until he nails it from a roll. He's a nice guy though and will gladly show you what he's got after he hands you your ass!!!

Ran into a foxbody on 23rd Avenue in Moline a number of years back with my 95 z28 (was stock and ran 14.1 @ 97mph more than enough for rough running foxbodys)... car looked like shit.. i had the radio up and obviously made a large mistake of trying to run him...

Damn thing ran high 11s on street tire....I'm pretty sure he was at the next stoplight before I started moving... still hurts to talk about it...

Couple years back I had a roll on with a local Lightning. I thot he was stock until I heard the cutouts when he nailed it. At he time i was running a ported 14b in my 4g61t Colt(2500 lbs), but even with a 2 car jump on him, it wasn't enuf. He passed me like I had the e-brake on:eek:
Later, saw him at the track and he ran low 12's, arrrgh.
I'd like to run him again now that I have 4g63, lsd, evo3 & fp2x's.

There is a sr20det swapped Sentra here. It even has a top-mount intercooler. It hauls ASS.
