Just curious. I mean if one read really low then I think it might be a good indication that the thing is dieing, but with both of them reading the same exact value it has me confused. Currently I am testing out an Eprom chip for a guy that is trying to create them for 2g's, and the chip is supposed to have injector compensation for my 625's, stutter box, no lift to shift etc. All of the rev limiters dont work, I found that out the hard way by testing the NLTS and wound up finding my revs hitting 9k before I let off (I know I know, I nearly shit myself as well). The car never has idled right nor ran right with the chip in, always having hiccups every half second or so, even while driving. Originally before the 9k rev that I did the thing would read around .92-.90v on the o2 bank 1, then when I got home after nearly shitting myself I noticed the bank was reading .02 and staying there. I decided to log o2 bank 2 and it too was just sitting there. My idle is varying from 750-920, back and forth all over, and the car sounds horrible at idle. When I first got back from testing it out it was idling between 750 and 680 and sounded horrible. My STFT is at around 0-5% and my LTFT just sits there, although when I got back from driving around it was around 3% and just sitting there. Just curious what you guys think.

At this point feel free to throw out ANY idea, even off the wall ones, as the chip I'm using is just a beta chip that I was testing out, and I have removed my Safc in preparation for my DSMlink arriving friday, so I've been all over the ECU's harness wires. I had pulled the negative cable before hand so I dont believe there're any shorts or whatnot anywhere, and I believe all connections are secure, but again feel free to throw out any ideas, even ones you feel may be off the wall, because as of right now I'm using untested equipment.

<--- testing as well for those that didnt know.

He ALSO corrects the size of your injectors!!! Not only deadtime!!

So your ECU is seeing your 625s as 450s! So you need to reset your AFC all to zero and then retune everything.

I had my AFC set at -38s or so on the highs with my setup, and put the chip in mine.. and when I hit the gas.. I nearly stalled. This was only because I hadnt corrected my AFC settings for the new chip setup.

Your STFTs look good at 0-5%. Sitting rite at 3%.. you can richen your AFC by 1% and it should bring it down to 0-1%

My AFC is out, it is completely disconnected with the anticipation of DSMlink tommorrow. I have a MAFT which reads 3.2v for the baro signal so it makes the car read 24% lean, so I have slightly richened the values to compensate at times, but it still runs like absolute ass. Notice my o2 sensors now are both reading the same value, but both rediculously low and just sitting there as if they are dead, but its odd to me that both of them would be dead if that were the case. I think its something else.

My fuel trims are close enough that that definately isnt the case. It wouldnt make the car idle this horrible.

Hm im not sure then.

I have a MAFT on the way and a mas to get at the junkyard... I can let you know in a week or so how it turns out.. but it looks like when you get the dsmlink hooked up, all of your worries will go away.

My friends dsmlink car reads 0.04 or 0.06 on the 1 o2 sensor and never changes... It's kind of annoying not to get an o2 value @WOT other then the .04 .06. On a 1g if the o2 doesn't cycle it's time for a new one, but it'll stil read like .98 etc @WOT in my experience. I had my friend try to get a new o2 sensor but it stil only reads .04 to .06. STFT seems to never change from 5% even though LTFT's are all 0%.

So, yea, we're in the same boat. The funny part is that it stil gives a a/f ratio on dsmlink - which I thought was a combination of injector p/w, maf/airflow, and o2 sensor, but maybe it's just p/w and airflow :dunno:.

Maybe someone has an idea *shrug*

Ill report what happens when I put in my chip today again.

But this is the first time this has ever happened. Normally like you said and O2 like that would tell me taht the thing is dead, but both of them are reading that and I just find it funny that BOTH would die at the same time. The 02 was working perfectly fine too upon the 2nd start up then suddenly decided it wanted to be gay again, the car never felt any different however.

No other input?

I'm already on the forums, they sent me my SN and password the moment they recieved payment. If I'm not mistaken I already told you to call them up and tell them the ECU serial code and that should be enough to prove its valid.

You cant even view the DSMlink forums without being a member

Its deffinately the test chip, I have the same o2 problems as well. Mine hover at .92 and my idle jumps from 700-1200 (doesnt surge tho).

Ill shoot Jeff an email and see what he thinks.
