I found out the previous owner of my car used to pull a trailer with a jet ski on it and was wondering how bad this was on the car?

Any info is appreciated,

Yeah in the manual it says don't tow things.
But I have a feeling a jetski and trailier are light enough that it wouldn't hurt it.

my other gsx is a sea doo gsx-limited. i haven't pulled it behind the mitsu but i really don't see a problem here, it is 523 pounds......i pull the trailer around in the yard and driveway when i am doing maintenance by hand, the tongue weight is next to nothing. we pull it behind out acura vigor and the only time you even know it is there is under braking. you don't have anything to worry about. greg

I tow my shifter kart on a small trailer all the time, and tow a 15' boat every once in a while with a steel trailer. We also tow with an Integra GSR. Both cars tow fine. All factory turbocharged cars come with a no-tow warning. The car runs at higher boost due to the increased load, but its no different than if you went racing. Driveline failures are due to engine torque output, and launching on the dragstrip is much worse than towing a small trailer.

You probably need to keep the tongue weight under 250, which means towing less than 2500 lbs, but you wouldn't want to pull that much anyways.
