u POSITIVE u have the wiring connected right for the speakers?

 

yea i am pretty sure when i turn on the deck the speakers make a popping sound.

my deck turns on but no sound is comming out. What is wrong?

popping sound could just be feedback from havin it hooked wrong, i got a newer xplod deck in my car, i dunno i <3 it, got xplod speakers too, but i dont like much bass, mostly play country so they sound awesome.

 

maybe you have the remote and ground mixed up or sumthing whats the wire to wire color scheme in your wiring setup

 

oh yeah and explods are no good i would take it back and get your money back and spend the extra cash its really worth it

 

funny thing is, everyone will rip on xplod, yet theyre decks arent junk, speakers dont have great bass, but excellent highs. ive probly owned 4 xplod decks over the years, never had a probly with any, and theyre def 30x's better than my gay kenwood i owned. for the price theyre very good. if u got 300$ for a deck, i guess u could spend that, kinda not worth it if u ask me.

 

i'm not trying to flame you, i usually respect your opinions... you usually have good stuff to say, but to say that the xplod decks aren't junk is terribly incorrect. i have owned a couple sony decks, the sony ES models in the past, and in my experiences with sony products (of any kind for car audio)... better can be had for the money. if you want a cheap deck, pioneer will blow sony out of the water. spend an extra hundred bucks and get a low model nakamichi or eclipse and it will obliterate the sony. the extra money for a quality unit is DEFINITELY worth it once you buy a couple high end eclipse or alpine decks you'll know what i'm talking about

for country? say wazwah? i think the stock unit sounded fine for country lol. if ur a music enthusiast u wont like sony, i play occasion country just so its not so dull in the car lol. thats why i got door/rear speakers and a deck for 155$

cant beat a pair of 6x5's for 40$ or 6x9's for 45$ then i got the sony deck off ebay real cheap lol

save the 150 bucks you're gonna spend on a head unit, and instead buy a box of shells for your 12 gauge and shoot yourself

seriously, i'd rather not have a radio at all! well, that's half the reason i bought a good head unit. 99% of the stations out here are either country stations, or the kind of mtv n sync, backstreet boys, nelly kind of stations. either way not worth listening to

on a good note, at least the xplod units are living up to their name two points for sony!

well, that explains it when you're 16 or 17 150 bucks is a lotta money! once you're a little older and a couple hundred dollars isn't really a big deal anymore, you will appreciate the quality of a good quality deck i think i was 18 or 19 when i got my first high end deck... and i haven't looked back since! god i feel old now

 

I CAN rip on x-plod decks cause I have one and its a total piece of garbage. It skips all the time even on regular cd's not burnt, It likes to not play and spit the cd back out, and the face doesnt always like to work, it will lag or just freeze up on the time.

i also just blew 425$ on a o2 elim DP with Test Pipe, and 90$ on a pump this week, so i wasnt concerned of what deck im putting it my car, plays, works great, sound fine much better stock, im happy.

as for the deck not workin, thats why u make sure it breaks before warranty =)
