Isn't that the only way to launch these cars? It's not like we have trans-brakes or anything. I'm a big guy and can squash bugs pretty easily, but holding my car on the line is a different story. I have stock 2g brakes with stainless lines, EBC green-stuff pads with drilled/slotted rotors on all 4 corners. I will be using the handbrake tomorrow to assist my left foot. I will be looking into manual brakes with a staging brake in the near future, but I wanna finish this season the way it sits now.

That is not what I meant. Put the car in neutral and rev while pushing on the brake pedal as hard as you can. As you rev the motor you'll feel the pedal sink further towards the floor. Do this till it won't sink any further, and you've fully powered the brakes. without lifting your foot off the pedal, drop it into D and stall up. If you have a car that doesn't make shit for vacuum it'll be a big help.

I think your thinking about a 5 speed car,lol. This is if you have a automatic DSM where you can brake boost and get 10psi or more from the launch. Kind of like a 2 step with out using DSMLink for it,lol.

yes i know they are talking about an at, I asked if they switch from n to gear with the rpms up. I assume that would cause damage to the transmission.

Oh yeah that will, AT trannies don't like that,lol. What they are talking about is when your ready, put it into Netural first hit the brakes to the floor until you can't anymore, then put it back in Drive. By doing that you have more brake pressure aliped to hold the car for launching,lol.

Finally a 10 second pass! On a beautiful night at Englishtown I got my first 10 second time slip. Although I'm still having some issues with the converter coming up, I got my best 60ft with this setup. There's still a ton of room for improvement, I know. I need to knock another .3 to .4 off the 60ft to get me into the 9s. But, I'll take it for now.

Around 38psi and 100shot that turns off when it reaches 20psi, never turns back on during the pull. Can't wait to cut a good 60ft and hit it all the way down.

nice, that thing is rollin on th4e top end. Get that 60 foot down and you got 9s all day long. What RPM/boost did you launch at? should be able to cut 1.4s all day long on a wrinkle wall, especially with the juice.

It left at 3k with NO boost, hence the slow 60ft. I have the N2O setup to turn on at 0.1mph, and turn off @ 20psi. I'm going to put the n2o on a button on my steering wheel so I can hit it while stalling so I can leave WITH boost. Eventually I'm going to pull the converter out and have it checked out and loosened up if at all possible, but I'm having too much fun to do it now. Again, thanks for your input.

I'd be careful having nitrous engage as the car starts moving and it can lead to busted T-cases in a hurry.

I can personally only get about 3k stall on my convertor and maybe 1-3 psi. Not enough to push it over. I turn on the nitrous and it then stalls up to about 4k or so and 8-12 psi. I'd like to see a little bit more power down low as I want better then 1.7 60's. I think a 100 shot should not only give it enough torque but mor eboost so the car can leave like a bat out of hell...

I'm not even spinning my hoosier drag radials so I know it's not leaving hard enough yet...

For those of you that are confused. Just do a simple test to get the basic idea. Start your car, press down on the brake pedal fairly hard, keeping it pressed down pull your shifter into neutral, now rev it up and you will feel the pedal go toward the firewall even futher. It's also an old supra trick too.
