What is the max boost a 2g bottom end will hold? Also what size injectors will the stock fuel pump hold. I'm not lookin for the next dsm monster in my area, just something to shut up the local spoiled kids who have new cars that their mommy and daddy buy for them that have 0 miles on them so my car with 140xxx miles on it can't compare with it.

Theres really no answer as to how much boost it will handle being as the fact that boost is relative. As for power I have two buddy's who have made 400+awhp on the stock 7-bolt bottem end. If your going to get injectors I would also do a pump...

. Im trying to tune around it for the time being but its a pain in the ass when i only have an safc and maft, especially with 650's. I might just end up barrowing my friends vce and sneak a few pulls in on my college's two wheel dyno just to get a benchmark.
Just curious.......how are you planning to dyno an awd car on a 2wheel dyno? If close, why not take the car to the track? Not as exact as a sheet of paper with a graph, some lines and numbers, but you can still obtain a ballpark for your benchmark. :p

unfortunately the closest track to me is a 2 1/2 hr drive for an 1/8mi or a 3 1/2hr for a 1/4... im fighting couplers right now anyway... that and a home depot racing mbc... it came with the car and i can't afford a nice one right now as i have to buy ALOT of tools for school this semester... in the $2.5-3k range for tools alone...

How much boost are your two buddy's pushing and with what turbos?

You need not worry about others and look at your cars condition. Is the motor healthy? Compression good? Timing belt and components? I wouldn't turn the boost up on a car that I was unsure about.

BUT, for the record, I ran 26psi on my stock(other than ARP head studs) 7 bolt for about 30k with no problems.

Sweet this is were i wanna be! ok i have a 95 talon 1g swap dsm link, justed replaced timing belt etc. i just happened to pick up the 16g evo III turbo and install kit. i know i need injectors but where do i go to get the flash after all is installed. and yes a huge newby but learnin fast. thanks in advance to all who may reply.

i just got the car for free and running about 2 months ago. my friend told me that after i put the stuff on i have to give it a new flash. and also im new to the dsm crew. i know chevy trucks and semis but this is new territory for me. the car came to me with the 1g swap and a dsm link. what the heck do i do with it? i know u hook to a computer. can u reset parameters or what?

Thanks man, but i think its been more of a headache than anything. granted the body and interior are in really good condition the engine is another monster. the car ran but not good it jumped a tooth or two on time so i replaced all that stuff. it had a weird noise at one point then went away its hard to describe the sound, kinda of a rattle of sorts but cant determine what it is, oil pump maybe since at startup it has all kinds of pressure then drops to almost nottin when warm. idk. wish i could post the sound, i know someone heard it before. thanks for the ecm tips. now i know what thats all about. thanks again

well now i think im gonna just get another engine its not the pump. it somthin in the lower end i did a comp test and the are all below 125. and there was alot of gas in the oil when i changed it when i did the belt. i changed it yesturday and again very thin and all it ran was like 15 20 min. the bearings must of washed out. know where i could find another for a good price. i found a jdm, and there like 1400. wish i could find one locally. but a fat chance around here.

Hi everyone I always wanted a Turbo. I saw a stock 99 GSX for sale at a dealer so I had to have it. I have been doing the maintenance over the past year. Changed the battery, plugs, rear wheel bearing, timing belt and I just bought a used T25 because my car has been studering and bucking under WOT. So I am hoping this fixes that problem. In the future when all my problems are worked out im going to mod the car to my goal 300 whp. So I plan on getting all of these mods listed and thanks for doing that by the way. My question is about the DsmLink does this device keep me from having to buy the SAFC-Neo for control over the injectors? Thanks for the help im just trying to get the exact brand of products and everything down on paper to make sure everything will work perfectly together. Also If I get the Aem Wideband do I stll need the Exhaust Gas temp. gauge?

To anser your question, "DSM link" is a separate tuning program. If your car is tuned with the link you do not need a "SAFC". I would however, definitely get a wideband and no you don't necessarly need an exaust gas temperature gauge, still always good to have one though.

I have been reading a lot about this GM MAS and how it can be set up for blow trhough mode. Which doesn't seem like a good idea bc dont you want the blow off valve air recurculating? What are the thoughts about the GM MAS and the Translator needed with it? Can the DSM Link control this as well? Is the GM MAS worth getting?
