Hey whatup everyone,
Ok to start, I was going to order the VRSF FMIC, but I heard, just as the punishment racing FMIC, that it would have problems bolting up.
Something with the tranny cooler or something? I'm not entirely sure.

Are there any (preferably inexpensive) kits that do fit. OR
Has anyone been able to fit a punishment racing / VRSF/ SSAC short route FMIC on an automatic?
Thanks for the help

I don't see why their would be any problem at all with that. I don't have first hand experience but I'm sure their are alot of automatics with frount mounts that can chime in.

And pm sent.

well my friend has the ssac/vr speed fmic kit on his car. it bolted right up. but then again his was stickshift. but as far a i saw the only thing that might get in the way is the transmission cooler. but you could mount it where the stock side mount intercooler used to be. other than that it shoulb bolt right up. u also need to relocate the radiator overflow bottle. other than that it should bolt right up. u coulp even keep the stock fog lights and crash bar with sum modifications to them

When I was auto I ran the Greddy FMIC, no issues at all.

I believe the only issue would be if you ran short route piping and the dipstick getting in the way of the UICP. That's the only issue's I've ever heard of..

I have a punishment on my auto. I also have a different cooler. I think it would fit with the stock cooler but it would be smarter to move it somewhere else. The dipstick can get in the way when doing piping. I had to bend mine out of the way. Also with any dsm when you go with short route piping the overflow need to be moved.

Hope this helps. Im changing radiators this weekend so I can take some more pics of you need them.

I'm bumping this up cause I would also like specific pics of how you guys ran your piping.

I picked up a 2G and hope to mod it sooner or later and I want to explore my options instead of jumping on something right away.

Its a 95 auto and its going to be mainly my girls car but mine when she let's me borrow it :)

So I'm keeping power steering, AC so backdoor short route is not an option right now. I have that on my 1G and I love the directness of it lol

I know some kits or pipes hit the auto trans and I will also be relocating the trans cooler so that won't be an issue

Not sure which way I want to go, but I hate the pipe routed like how The EE has it.. I hate it fuckin hate it!!

I have seen a intercooler and I believe it maybe a ETS or slowboy where the endtank outlets are located in dif spots for a 2G..maybe for no hacking or avoid the AC crap..

I'm on my phone otherwise I would find the picture

With the VRSF kit you only need to loop the PS cooler lines, and relocate your trans cooler to the stock SMIC location. You don't have to worry about it hitting the trans at all, and the best part is with the VRSF kit you can keep the stock fogs with no modifications.

I have a VRSF short route piping kit on my auto and it fits good but you need to do a few things. Relocate the atf cooler to the SMIC side, and bend the dip stick to the right about an inch. after that it fits like a charm and it's worth every penny.

I ran a SSAC FMIC on my auto GST. All I did was move the tranny cooler to the side mount spot. I got rid of the hard lines and used rubber ones, no issues. I did have to get rid of the overfill tank :(

Checking tranny fluid became more of a chore. I also had to get creative with recirculating the BOV. I say get a long route piping if your an auto. It looks cleaner, and everything fits like it should.

I use the small Kinetic FMIC (same as SBR-no longer available)

I also run the short route. You have to move the stock trans cooler. At first I put it in the SMIC location but that didn't work when I put in a CAI. I then moved it to the rad support in front of the rad on the pass. side.

You will also want to ditch that power steering cooling bar that runs in front of everything else. Just loop it with rubber hose.

I did have to bend the trans dip stick to a position that would not interfere with the IC pipes. When I did that, it started leaking fluid from the base of the tube where it enters the trans. Easy fix was to replace the o-ring, no more leaks.

The BOV was only an issue when I was still re-circing. The overflow is no problem at all. I still have the stock bottle in the stock location, just sits slightly higher and on top of the IC pipe.

When you make the hole for the IC pipes in your rad support, try to keep it as low as possible. Then spray bomb the metal so it won't rust. It also helps to shave some of the ribbing of the rad itself on the outside edge. You can squeeze an extra 1/2"-1" of room that way.
