This is what I've been up to recently with the car. I finally got access to a heated garage so I worked on it here and there over the winter.
Anyway, heres a quick run down of whats been changed.

*Removed radiator support
*Stainless radiator support
*4" stainless side exit exhaust
*2.25" side exit stainless wastegate outlet
*Aluminum charge piping (3" turbo to I/C - 3.50" I/C to throttle body) w/ V-band welded
on throttle body.
*Torque Solutions driveshaft/carrier bearing solid aluminum bushings
*-20AN fittings on radiator, water pump outlet, and thermostat housing
*GM/Saturn alternator

I'm working on the finishing touches right now. It will be running sometime this week.
Heres a few pictures of it. Opinions?

nice, build i like it how does your bumper fit and hold up with no support in the center? just a question because i also thought about doing that
I have a thin strip of metal screwed into the bottom of the bumper gaurd in the center that locks into the small gap in the intercooler mounts. So far it seems to be ok. If it needs more support I'll just weld a center support on the cross bar that supports the top of the radiator.
As far as everything fitting,it fits great. No clearance issues what so ever.

A proper build takes time, some people will never learn that.

Looks awesome man.
Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Last summer, after missing a personal deadline, I decided to just take my time and finish everything the right way. I probably could finished it already the way it sat last year. But I spent quite a bit more on replacng a few things that seemed imperative to me. Started with going from HKS cams to Kelford cams. Then it ended up being the entire cylinder head and all it's internals. Better and bigger studs, and eventually the decision to remove the rad support. Oddly enough once I stopped trying to finish the car so quickly time seemed to fly by as well as the work.

Finally finished the last few things that had to be re-wired. Some of the wiring looked a little ratty so I took out my electronic tool box and broke out the wire plyers and snips and got to workin'. Took me the better part of the day but I have piece of mind knowing the old crap is not in there anymore.

lol,you saw that right? Yeah,it looked horrible. One was even partially melted. When Sean said it was a "Hot car" I had no idea thats what he was refering to.lol

Yeah, the weather is pretty nice here today. Hopefully it holds out until I get home this afternoon. Forgot to cover the car before I left the house this morning.

I just ripped out the wires :), you don't need that crap!

It is coming along nicely, hopefully it makes some passes this year!
I know, right. That would be a friggin' miracle. No,but seriously I hope to have it track-ready within the next couple of days. Going down to my shop after lunch to grab some C-16 so I can run it up to temp and re-tq. the studs . Cross your fingers guys, lol. Thanks!

I just thought this was funny. I was intending on posting my first start-up video. But this batt. is shot! This is what happened on "Start up" mode. It registered 98% charged on the meter. But did'nt hold it. Going to slow charge it and see what happens but I've got another one at my shop. Tomorrow is another day. The wife just got home from work so I'm done for the day. Should have a vid up early tomorrow though.

Blasted this valve cover too. Not sure what the plan is for the cover just yet. Something clean like the one thats on the motor now. But with the fittings placed where the PCV provisions were.

Note: 80grit red sand was used. Black diamond does a better job but it clogs my unit. Red 80 works nicely and keeps flowing without having to stop every 20mins to clean out the tip.

Start up 2.0?
No,this week though. Just put 8 gallons of C16 in yesterday. No power to coil #1 & #2. Something came unplugged. Unit has power. It's either a ground or something came unplugged. No big deal. Just have'nt had the daylight to look into it. This weekend for sure I'll get to it.
