Quiet mufler

Hi all:

I have megan racing 3 inch from downpipe to the mufler and would like to know if there is a way to lower its noise without compromising performance.
It is really loud on the highway and would think that some mufler could dampen the sound. What do you think?

I am running the same exhaust rebadged as an SRS system, however it's a Megan 3" turbo back with two resonators. I hated the look of the coffee can and opted for a Vibrant dual tip muffler for a more stock appearance. While it's quieter than the Megan can, it's not as quiet as the Megan can with a silencer.

By far the quietest, best performing exhaust I've heard was what I had when I was FWD. I ran a 2.5" DP to an electric cutout. Closed, it was quiet as stock, but open... the car SCREAMED!

Here's some of my videos. You can't ever really gauge how low stuff is with a video, but you can hear the valvetrain over my current Vibrant setup when I'm around the front of the car.

I think both are good options. I had a magnaflow on my truck at one point and was surprised by it's durability/quality over the long haul. Vibrant has become an established name in the industry in recent years and makes excellent products. If it were me, I'd probably base my decision on my wallet.

I just built an exhaust for my car, and used a vibrant resonator, high flow cat, and a Megan Racing M-OE Turbo muffler, and my car is just barely louder than stock. The muffler is a straight through design, so shouldn't cause a restriction, but looks like it's chambered, so you won't have the ricer look, which should help with the cops if you have a problem with them.
