It's torward the end of the racing season so I decided to buy some race gas and turn up the boost.

Last night at Battle Of The Imports I ran a best of 11.32 @ 130mph. It felt good. Earlier I ran a 11.33 @ 117mph... letting of right after the 1000ft mark, because I didnt want to get disqualified for going too fast without a roll bar. The motor set-up took it well, and is still running great. The 130mph trap was with 28psi. I ran alot of 127mph traps on 26psi too. I have a stock rebuilt block consisting of 1G rods, re-used original rod bolts, 2G pistons, ARP head studs, & Mitsu 4-layer metal head gasket. It held up surprisingly well :) There were faster cars in my Class, but I got lucky... 1 car was disqualified for going too fast without a cage, one was cought sleeping at the light and got eliminated, and another missed a shift. All that along with my consistent driving allowed me to take 1st place in the Street Tuner Class, yeay:)

Here are the slips:

You gotta work on those 60ft's they are ok but not great.Nice times btw.

What turbo? That car is hauling ass, and looks so stock!

You can definatley get those 60 foots down.

Car looks great, I love it:)

My guess is a FP3575...?

The car should be a high 10sec runner, but I dont have good tires yet.
Those runs were on 205wide tires that were sitting under a tree for 2+ years

I agree the 60ft times are weak, but the tires just wouldnt give me any more. They were old and hard so I'm just glad they did that well hah:p

I run a FP3065 with FP2x cams, dual springs, Stock head, Stock parts Bottom end, & AEM EMS.

My 11.3x @ 117 would have been a 11.0-11.1 pass but I let off right after the 1000ft mark because I didnt want to get disqualified for not having a roll bar

Congrats on the run!

Sounds like a sweet ass setup! Thats pretty amazing for a stock block, congrats on the win.
If you think thats amazing google Mike Rizzotti and his setup that he had on his car with a stock block.

Nice runs! I run a 3065 as well, excellent turbo. I also run around the same boost as you. Makes you wonder how much you could pick up pushing the turbo to its 35-40psi limits. Mines an auto so you trap higher. I E.T. quicker though :p.

Mike runs close to 140mph on the stock block. He lives not too far from me. His car has a simple but very effective setup.

Thanks guys!

I only did 15-degrees timing to keep it safe even though I was using 119-octain fuel.

I spun the engine to 8000RPM in 1st gear, and 7000RPM in 2nd & 3rd, until 4th gear where I had to go 8000+RPM to get 130mph at the finish line.

Your right. I was thinking of Joe Riggieri. He has a Red 2G running damn near the same times and MPH. I have met Mike at at NOPI event last year, but have talked to him on another board often. Even bought a motor from him. Joe is running a stock 6bolt bottom end as well to 138mph.
