by doing that you probably cured the open wastegate under idle, But so it seems (and i may be wrong), but since you shimmed it and put washers, now maybe you're not getting the wastegate to full open causeing it not to let the exhaust out fully creating your creep issue.
"Damn hit or miss situation lol.. Its either a noisey car or I have shift earlier when I'm getting on it. "- If I were you New M. I'd just put the ported o2 back on and stay off the throttle a bit. -ANT...

But if that is the case, then he could have both mods and be cured of his creep.

He could leave the shims on so it'll keep it closed at idle, but he'd have to take off his turbo and port the material in back of the wastegate flapper so then when it opens, It opens up at the full 90 degrees and lets all the exhaust out.

Thats usually what the porting job of the wastegate flapper is. It takes off material in back of the wastegate flapper allowing it to fully open up and release everything.

Heres that shimms thread. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202272&highlight=wastegate+dump+idle
I seen theres a mod he can also try that open the wg fully, its something to do with tweaking the arm to make it open up more, I'm not sure if porting is also involved but I know it has to do with modding the swing arm on the housing.

The wastegate does not open the actuator fully. If you hook up a pressure source to the wastegate and watch it you can see it only moves like 30% of how much it actually can. So I'm sure if you came up with a way to open the wastegate more it would definately help. Also when I first got my dump I could hear it at idle. I shimmed out the wastegate a little but it only made it worse. The best thing you can do is just get the supporting mods to run the turbo at the psi it spikes to. Once you do this you'll be happy you did anyway since the turbo really starts to shine in the 20psi range.

Im going to try and find that thread, I'm not sure it it was on here or tuners but there was a thread on how to modify the swing arm.

I remember reading one of them, there may be more, but the spring the guy tried to use just shot off the first time he hit boost and he just gave up.

You could also switch to an external wastegate. That will for sure hold whatever boost you want it to be at. That's kinda where I'm at now. My 16g wont hold the boost I want it to up-top. But I'm doing a different build anyway..

Dp concepts I think is the name of the company, I'm not fully sure if theyre still around so don't qoute me on it, but they made a boost creep elimination kit. The site looks the same since I first seen it about 3 yrs ago so Im not sure if they're still in business.
