I think you would have more of a chance if you road an electric scooter. They're lighter for more top end.

 

So my friend just bought a stock 2009 cobalt ss (260 hp stock) and I currently am running a 1995 eagle talon TSI 6 bolt on 20 psi with a huge FMIC, evo 3 turbo (to be done this week), lighter flywheel, intake, and exhaust. What do you think is this a race worth putting some money down on or should I show caution?

Go down to Harry's and get a big bottle of nawwwz. Actually better make it two. Just don't blow the welds off your intake manifold.

However, don't underestimate anything.

id do it. i ran against one just the other day and he had me by a car. i was at 10psi and not tuned good at all. s-afc was giveing me problems. i asked him what he was boosting (turbo model) he said low boost...17psi.

I heard from someone that the new cobalt ss's run like 14's, and with the work your putting into your DSM, I'd expect a good ol' atleast low 13 to very high 12 pass with a good launch.
But try upgrading your fuel pump(dont suppose you have upgraded from the description you just gave us).It'll add a bit of power and decent fuel delivery for the bigger turbo, but you might not need one though! Not a very bad simple easy mod to do.
With that said, I say put the money where your DSM is!

 

those mods and a good clutch if your can shift you can win I can run faster than 13.9 with my 14b and act2600.

 

oh yea he might win based on the fact that theese cars love to break down at the track
