I am in the middle of stripping my 95 Talon and I want to either paint or replace the parts with Black pieces. What years did they use black interior parts? Mine is all gray

Thanks for the help....Why have the forums when everyone just tells you to "search it" Of course everything is going to be there if you go through the 10,000 post. I did search and I will not click on each link just to see if my information is there. If the title does not lead me to it then I ask the questions.
Looking pretty good. I've read that painted interior parts have a short life-span, but some sort of plastic dye pretty much last forever. What paint/dye did you use?
No doubt, but who would want to remove the dash, prep, re-paint, then re-install just because a little section started to bubble up? Sure you could spot correct, but I wouldn't think you could get a really good feathering in....
Just in case...97-99 had the black dash. Also, it's a huge pain in the ass. Be very very VERY careful taking it out...I broke the rear bracket for the radio :tat:
if you do end up painting it they actually make a black spray paint with vinyl texture in it so it looks like a real dash and not just flat spray paint . I helped with spray painting a dash from an e30 with the stuff and it looked awesome
No offense to you guys painting your interiors, Im a DIY guy too. But it just doesnt look the same or last as long.
Do yourself a favor on this one and just buy a new dash. Nothing you can paint/dye with will last as long or look as good. Period. You also have to be super careful not to scratch it or leave your dash baking in the sun. I pulled one out of an eclipse in a junkyard and they charged me $50. All you need is a 10mm socket, philips, and some wire cutters make it quicker.
I live in Canada on an Island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, there are no Eclipses here and few Talons to be found in junk yards. Also because I'm on an island, shipping rapes me in the asshole.
