I seem to have a problem in the new eclipse i just bought. The battery and brake light stay on in the car and will not turn off at all. When i put the E brake up the brake light brightens, when i put the E brake back down it dims but stays on like the battery light. Any Ideas? Thank you.

Alternator is dead.

I'm going to go to Autozone to get the charging system checked. If that is not the case, what other problems could it be?

It's the alternator.
That's usually what causes both those lights to come on at the same time. It's not charging.

Yeah, you need to find out what the battery shows when the car is on.
...and don't drive too much you might get stranded if the battery is slowing draining.
