Thats not true at all, you just need it resurfaced. Unless it has been re-surfaced so many times there is nothing left.

 

dude i didn't even resurface my flywheel everthing was fine next time i'll resurface it.

 

Ya you might be able to get away with not re-surfacing it but you might regret it. It could be fine or it could just rip the crap out of your new disk. 40 bucks for a resurface? or a 100 for a new disk. Your choice.

 

Yeah, resurfacing the flywheel ensures that the new clutch disk with have a fresh new flywheel surface to mate with, insuring your clutch will last a bit longer.
