Hah, while I am not the typical user I can say I have used multiple EMS systems and can make pretty fair comparisons. IMO unless you need individual timing control per cylinder, onboard datalogging ability, or more inputs you can use link without problems. I run 2150cc injectors and have no issues, link now has individual cylinder latancy control to help smooth out the differences and I am sure before long individual global fuel control for each cylinder. If I where to run something other than link it would be motech and anyone who has used it will know why. If you have not used V3 it is nothing like v2 so don't make assumptions.

Yeah I forgot to mention I am the guy who just made 1033hp on link ;)
For all of you guys thinking you need AEM EMS to make power. :)

It was built and assembled to race, I could put the same power plant in a street car but this particular chassis was built to race.

If you have a 1g and you are thinking of Link. Do yourself a favor and go with Jackal.

Wow, I didn't think you were a Jackal fan. :tree: to you sir!

I have used DSMlink ver 2 and AEM...
I don't my car would run well on street with dsmlink.
I run staged injectors,,,and my engine runs a butcher crank and fidanza flywheel..
What this means is that almost anything will kill the idle ..
I use the idle recover function in AEM to catch the rpm drop and let it smoothly settle to the idle rpm..
I used stock injectors and 1000cc injectors for a smooth reliable street car.
My phantom knock disappear when the AEM was able to reprogram the 1g knock sensor to measure intensity instead of counting knocks.
Also with DSMlink the driving AF target was always 14.7 but my car like 15.2 .
14.7 afr requires the chip to be reflash in dsmlink
The AEM also controls my boost and has saved my motor when the meth inj didn't pump

The AEM has self diagnosics.....and AEM provides free testing and upgrades. And I haven't cover many of the other functions AEM can do.

By the way my car make 531hp on pump and 666hp @ 39psi..

SO do you personally think that the aem v2 is just as good if not better than the ems/dsm link v3. i just read all the posts here and I kinda feel like I wasted my money on the aem. I was going to get the link, But I really wanted to get rid of my MAF sensor and go map. Gosh I wish there wasn't all these choices.

Like its been said for most people they wont use or need anything more than v3lite let alone full v3. Also +1 to Link to usability and support via the forums and Thom/Dave.
