ok heres the deal i just recently got rid of dsm link for ems. with the link everything worked great no problems at all. i go to swap in the ems box, everything connects properly and no problems so far. i bought it used, so the map from the old users is still on there. turn on the key and hear the car prime the fuel pump just like it should. obviously it will not start because his settings were completely different whan mine. so now i go and put the 2g base map on there so i can go off of that. it will not turn on the fuel pump no matter what i do. ive check the relay and everything is fine there. put a multimeter on pin 8(fp relay) and every seems to be good there. i can watch to see if the fuel pums is turning on via my laptop and it says its no when actualy its not. heres the funny part, i put the ems bos im my girlfriends car(95 gsx) and the car fires right up with out a problem. i go and put the factory ecu back in mine and it turns on the fuel punp just as it should. so what the hell is goin on. im am COMPLETELY stumped on this one. halp me out guys.:wall:

anyone at all??:wall:

Two different cars. The base maps are for base cars without many mods and especially without speed density. Also your injector size, microbit, as well as a few other items are going to change drastically. You MUST read and re-read the manual in order to get the car to run properly. You MUST set up the wizards and base timing. There is a lot of very good info on the AEM forum that will only benefit you if you take the time to digest it. If you don't you will wish you had later.

On a side note, I have a map that you would be a great start for you since my old car had almost the exact same setup as your car. My old car made a fuel pump limited 560 whp on the dyno with the map. You would probably only need to make some very small VE tweaks to it to have it work properly. I'm trying to decide if I should be nice and help you or be an a-hole and ignore you the same way that you have ignored the grammar rules.

i completely understand that the car will not start with a factory base map. that was not the goal here at all. the car should atleast prime the fuel pump reguardless of any other settings correct? i have also done as much research as possable and read the manual a couple times now trying to figure this out. weather the car will make 560whp with your map dosn't matter at all to me(would be nice though:D ) i just need the get the car rolling again. ANY help you can give my i would be MORE than greatfull.

If LS11 is not setup correctly it won't prime. Depending on what version of the software and basemaps you are using, there is a requirement to setup the parameters of the fuel pumps operation.

It could also be a number of other things as well such as a bad CAS if you have a 6 bolt swap. If the CAS is working properly you should be able to remove the CAS, rotate it and have the fuel pump operate. It also could be that you don't have the wizard for the CAS set correctly as well.

Do a search on the AEM forums. There is a lot of good information there that would help you.

i looks up some info on ls11 and set it up correctly(so i think anyways) and i still have nothing. it still says its on when its really not. you wouldn't happen to have that map so i can see if that works do you.;)

PM me your e-mail address.

Actually, thinking about it. If your looking at the parameters for the fuel pump on the laptop and it is telling you that it is "on" and nothing is happening that means that you have a dead fuel pump, fried ECU, fried relays, fried fuse, broken wires, or a combination of these. You should try putting in a stock ECU just to see if the fuel pump primes with it. If so, then you've narrowed it down to software/setting problems or a bad ECU.

already ahead of you. i can put the factory ecu in the car with dsm link and it fires right up. i can take ems and put it in my girls car and it works in hers. now, when i 1st put the box in, using the map the old user was using, the fuel pump turned on and primed and everything worked great. that was the last im it worked with ems. so that is wat makes me think its a setting im missing.
