i dont have a manual and i havent owned a car with anti-lock brakes before.... what does this light mean exactly?
That there might be a problem with a component of the Anti-Lock system. Check the ABS sensors on the front wheels, make sure that the connectors are making a solid connection on the sensors and that there isn't broken wire around the area.ninjatune14 said:i dont have a manual and i havent owned a car with anti-lock brakes before.... what does this light mean exactly?
do you mean master brake cylinder? I highly doubt this because if so he would have no pedal pressure or intermidant loss of it. the abs is just a system that makes the pressure pulsate to where the pads tighten and relax and tighten...etc to prevent the brakes from locking up the wheel... or so ive been advised..possibly your pump is out. It is may not be working properly.
Bad idea and only time will let you know. Get it looked at soon.ninjatune14 said:okay well the other day i had to slam on the brakes in the rain and the ABS worked so im guessing its a prob with the sensors.
if they still work then i can ignore the light.... for now
thanks everyone
