I not a 100% sure but i think the fwd ones are the same.

 

Everything I have read says they are different. Plus the have differnet part numbers. When I had to get my new knuckles I got them off a AWD dsm. Although when I climbed up under my buddies FWD they looked alot alike. I have never had the two off the car at the same time to compare thouigh.

 

Mitsubishigraveyard.com got me a rear knuckle for my GVR4 when I went 5 lug ( spindle seized in the knuckle ) for less then half of the price that dealer quoted you.

 

I have checked mitsubishigraveyard.com but they didnt have the knuckle i need in stock. Also from what i have gathered, the fwd knuckle has a smaller center diameter then the awd. So i am still looking
