24 Hours of Lemons, where you race wheel to wheel against other cars, all of which can't be worth more than $500 excluding safety equipment. What better race series that equals the DSM mentality. So did the DSM guys pick a wrecked AWD DSM, where between all the different members, they probably have enough spare parts to build 2 race cars? No! Instead, we picked a very rare 1988 Mitsubishi Starion, where parts are hard to find, and nobody ever worked on one before. But that wasn't enough to deter us, we just decided that it was yet another car that we needed to learn, but we were able to apply some tricks we learned into the car. There's still alot of work left to go into the car, but we'll have it ready to go for this weekend's race at Altamont Raceway. If you can, come out and support us!

That is awesome! I would love to come out, but sadly, I will be in LA until Sunday night. :(

p.s. I think I met you once (if that's you sitting in the Starion) at an EVO meet on a Wednesday night in the McDonalds parking lot on the Capitol Auto Mall.

Our team blog is up at

Short story is we were doing very well the first day. As high as 13th place, and we settled at 15th place at the end of the first day. At the end of day 2, with 1.5 hours left in the race, we took a big hit on the front left side, and the car started sputtering. 30 minutes later, the car died never to start again. We think the wiring harness running along the fender took a big hit, and either got severed or shorted. We ended up in 39th place at the end of the race.
