yeah my needle on my gauge fell off of the post, now its just laying at the bottom of my gauge. is there anyway to get the cover off to fix it or should i send it to autometer? this is the way my whole week has gone :( sucks

i would go to the place that you bought it at (hopefully you kept the reciept, but even if not...) and see what they said. if you didn't fuck with it and it just fell off i would say that you deserve a new gauge. i am sure autometer won't have a problem replacing it, but it should be easier to have a shop get ahold of them.

is the gauge really old or something?

I bought the thing used but its basicly new, i'll email autometer

On a related note, my SPI boost gauge needle froze.
I sent it back to SPI under warranty 4 months ago and haven't gotten it back yet. The phone and fax # are out of service.
I recommend not buying an SPI gauge. Hopefully you will have better luck with autometer replacing the unit/fixing it.
Good Luck.:( If it is out of warranty, maybe you can open it up
and superglue the needle back onto the fulcrum.

I had to send my SPI back to MachV and they said that was not the 1st SPI they got back. My needle was also sticking and stuff. They where really good to me and orderd a VDO and sold it to me for less than what I paid for the SPI. And it still is working great after a year. Just some FYI for ya.

I sure as hell hope the VDO boost gauge was cheaper than the SPI. The SPI's sold for approx $140, and a VDO Vision series boost gauge costs approx $45.

or fix it...its free
