yea thoes old "ugly"1g dsm also had Coefficients of drag at .28-.29 one of the best for their time right up there with the Corvette c5 if im not mistaken. Yes cars nowaday have lower the prius has .19. If you think they are ugly fine... the 1g's design was engineered extremley well. Also im pretty sure any 1g body kit would ruin that .29. Race cars have kits not to look cool but so the car dosn't turn into an airplane wing at high speeds and give it lift. Having the air travel faster under the car and having it take a longer time to go over the top creats lift cars are shaped like a wing. Im not sure about body kits for the 1g dsm but the ones ive seen i doubt help aerodynamics at all. and if you plan on goin to the salt flats to make a high speed record i don;t think you have to worry about the wing effect. Theres a video of an rx7 at the flats that gets lift and shoots up into the air

When I had my 91 Integra LS up to 142 at El Mirage, let me just say, the back end started to fishtail ever so slightly at the 141-142 mark and I failed to pin the needle at 145 due to almost pissing myself. Aerodynamics is no joke and these body kits are obviously not designed for that nor looks.
