I still wonder why this issue is like a forest fire.
You just can't seem to put it out.
Simply put, a 1g valve will hold more than 13psi, can be found CHEAP, and still allows for you to recirculate.
Also, the valve itself can be modified to hold almost anything for free.

Or, if your lazy and stupid... the modifications are available thru any of the major DSM shops. You can even buy the valve modified from these places as well. All I might add, for usually a 1/3 of the cost of the HKS, and sometimes Greddy units. There is also a drop in adapter plate for the stock 2g upper IC piping. Should run you $20 from eBay.
As mentioned earlier, venting metered air... results in incorrect amounts of fuel, which can result in a sputter stall, sluggish return after gear change, or just a little rich spot. The severity is usually dependant on the MAF's settings from the factory. (There is an adjustment screw in the bottom that is set from the factory so the MAF reads in a certain range.) Then they goo over it so monkeys don't play with it.
I'm recirc with a 3" intake and a 1g valve. Its loud as hell. Not as high pitched as atmosphere dump. But 2g window rattling guy next to you wondering how you put a diesel turbo in a compact car loud.
